It’s fine, I think we need more fans of gameplay anyways o/Give us male Viera and then I\\'ll start paying my sub again. This hurt and it hurt bad. This is a ragequit moment for me. Goodbye until they add male Viera. This is homophobic. Still afraid of adding male bunnies huh? Stop the pathetic excuses and start listening to the people who play this game.
Why are you quoting something from months ago that doesn't even post in this thread anymore? Besides, they seem happy enough on their female Viera, so they obviously didn't quit. Ignore people who throw a tantrum like this. I will never understand why folks don't stick to their guns on such things.
Which puts to rest the myth that Japanese players have no real interest in muscular and masculine aesthetics - because a decent amount of them do. Across a number of different games.
To be clear, I'm stating that Hrothgar simply could not have been added solely for the sake of Western players as there are plenty of Japanese players who enjoy those aesthetics as well.

There are several posters in this thread that changed to female Viera for the time being even though they wanted to be male Viera. It's possible to make a feminine-looking male with what we have so far, but not something brawny like how others would prefer. One's chosen race is also important to gameplay in my opinion though. I wouldn't play this game if I was only forced to be a Lalafell, for example. Freedom of choices is better.
While that is true, they are a minority among the sea of catgirls, au ra, and lalas.Which puts to rest the myth that Japanese players have no real interest in muscular and masculine aesthetics - because a decent amount of them do. Across a number of different games.

I've seen some people make some damn good bunny boys. I always admire people's creativity when working within limitations. It's a shame that people are forced to go to those lengths in the first place, but they're out there living their best life. There are several posters in this thread that changed to female Viera for the time being even though they wanted to be male Viera. Which, in turn, is likely in large part due to many of the male models being designed with glaring flaws. Miqo'te and Midlanders arguably get the best customisation of the lot, the latter more so than the former.
I honestly think that a lot of JP fanbase just like small cute things more. The most "moe" races are some of the most popular. I think the only (complete) race with glaring flaws are Elezen, but that's just my opinion. I think Hyur are fine enough, pretty average looking, but that's just because they're humans. I don't think there's any sabotage or foul play in place to skew the JP players into the racial choises they make, I think they just...like them more.
so then by that logic nobody wants male viera since some people in this thread do not want themWhich puts to rest the myth that Japanese players have no real interest in muscular and masculine aesthetics - because a decent amount of them do. Across a number of different games.

Nope.
That wasn't my point at all - and I'm sure since you've been following this thread you've probably noticed that I am very much in support of the missing genders being added.
I was simply pointing out that there is demand for Hrothgar amidst both the Western and Japanese player-base.
