If there are good ideas from another game, why can you not adapt it? Everyone in the game industry is copying off of someone, it's not new. FF14 isn't all that special in that regard either, they had to play MMOs to get a feel for MMOs. You can still take an idea and give it a new take unique to your game.
I agree with this, completly, but there are caveats there, first not every idea works for every game, second is it a good thing to have in the game or is it just a gimmick, will it add somenthing or just be completely superfluous. If there are good ideas from another game, why can you not adapt it? Because how this game is made i just dont see how cuztomization can work, since the game itself, is too rigid, any amount of "bending" one can think will probably break the game, hell this game punished NIN back in the day when it came out because it was doing more dps than expected, it punished MNKs for the TK rotation, the same with BLM with that server Tick thing (and prolly MNK is to follow suit), the devs themselves are extremely rigid.

Fair enough. Personally I believe that rigidity to be something that prevents the game from truly evolving. Sure it's good to have steady ground, but if all you're doing is sticking to that and not taking risks then you wouldn't know if something could be amazing. Of course, you have to know when an idea is not good and ditch it, preferably before it goes to production (staring at Diadem 3.0 here, please stop this Devs...). I can understand the combat itself being very rigid but I believe they should reduce said rigidity a bit and allow players choice.I agree with this, completly, but there are caveats there, first not every idea works for every game, second is it a good thing to have in the game or is it just a gimmick, will it add somenthing or just be completely superfluous.

I hilariously used SkS materias on my Bard back when I started out cuz I wanted to go fast while keeping the playstyle I enjoy. Meta will always exist, even if they try to balance things but in my personal opinion the most fun is trying to complete challenging content with what you have. I understand that this means going against the community flow of meta chasers but if anything the UCOB world 1st showed to me, it's that you can complete content while having fun.
Although a Talent Tree could work and be fun, they would need to look at a lot of references to properly gauge how to integrate it. This means playing the other MMOs for the feel, thus spending time to rework the roots. Unfortunately, I doubt SE will do that anytime soon, they do like sticking to their formula...
You said "that is not about the game offering "us" more choices how to play." How is that true? I'm trying to understand your argument here.
