Actually, I think they will likely be kinda like male miqote but with female viera (maybe a bit taller/shorter) height, rabbit ears and handsome faces, and gracefull/elegant assasin animations
The Fantasia sales are an additional short term revenue boost to the game. Obviously subs added and retained due to the race are likely to be a bigger reason for making the investment, but they’re scarcely mutually exclusive... and there is always the problem of actually finding a way to establish such a metric. Surveys are an easy method but not necessarily reliable in isolation.
Not only that but going on and saying "...many male supporters..." even though only 10 people liked the post in a thread where the OP has 1.7k likes is quite interesting.
I also believe that they should have done one race and even as someone that love beastly races I do believe that they should have done Viera fully first and maybe the Hrothgar later. Both races are restricted but Hrothgar really is the worst of the two (sadly).
I'd argue Hrothgar is the better of the two. There seems to be more actual custom work put into Hrothgar than viera, convoluted in the fact that hair is tied to face though. Not only that but going on and saying "...many male supporters..." even though only 10 people liked the post in a thread where the OP has 1.7k likes is quite interesting.

personally, Ith in kthat instead of hrotgar we shouldve gotten lupin, nto another kitty race, but they a nice addition
Viera and Hrothgar was a given though, both are fan service. Probably not at all related to the fact the FF12 and FFX|X-2 was ported onto the switch this year, where Ronso/Hrothgar and Viera are the iconic races of those games. Not at all, related. Anyway, not a tinfoil hat way of thinking. Pretty smart really, both bring nostalgia and likeliness to boot up the games for which they are originally from.

As much as I like the concept art, that's just that, one of many concepts sadly. Let's not forget this was also shown as concept at some point:

They might follow the concept they showcased first for male Viera, they might not. I'm just saying that getting too attached to an idea might lead to some disappointment, as concept art is just a rough idea in the midst of many that might or might not be used; might or might not be sligthly or severely modified at the finished concept.
I am not disagreeing with any of you, by the way. Just pointing out a different perspective. Some people think concept art = absolute truth in designing choice, when in reality it is not and can change drastically compared to the finished concept.

its exactly what I said can't go by concept art because its never the final product. As much as I like the concept art, that's just that, one of many concepts sadly. Let's not forget this was also shown as concept at some point:

they could totally do a 180 and make something look way different that they previously showed.
perfect example is the Ra Au concept art they look almost like lizards but turned out way different.
Yes, I am aware of how Au Ra turned out, but I am not arguing that it is an absolute truth in their designing choice, just that we do have an idea of how SE envisions male Viera, so at least there is a starting point.
Now as for those Au Ra concept arts, you can see that the males do resemble the 2nd and 5th slides, so they approximated that design, even if not exactly. I am not too fond of the faces in the 6th slide, as they're pretty hideous, but it's a damn shame that they didn't go with those two bodies in the middle and right of the top row, or even the body of the 1st slide, plus having them retain some of the unique "mutations" in 2 and 5 whilst going with the handsome face options.
I'd also note that their final implementation of female Viera did not diverge much from the concept art. Granted, said art is close on 6 years old, so if they do add the males there are bound to be modifications; this was more to address the notion that we've never seen how SE might design them.
Are you confident of that? I have seen plenty of commentary adding support to the addition of male Viera based on how the females feel incomplete without them. It's more the fact that SE has already addressed the issue and is considering how to move forward. So there is now a waiting game, no doubt whilst they assess relevant metrics, something I would think would take them up to 5.1, to form an accurate picture.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Every single time I see the Au ra concept art I die a little inside because they could've been my ideal body type (bigger than Highlander, smaller than Roe) :'C
Nothing to do with Viera, just saying lol
