Please give us the ability to make shorter Viera

The only real problem with Viera height is that some robes look kinda... stretched... on them. Like awkwardly long.

Other than that it's down to preference really.

Please explain why you would want a short viera over playing a midlander or another race.

Im short in real life and would love to match my height to my favorite character in game, plus it wont hurt anyone even if its against the lore, they can easily find out for it, a new clan a new whatever!!

Go play a smaller race if you want shorter, and equip some bunny ears from gold saucer.

Viera is supposed to be the tall amazonian race as detailed in the lore surrounding the race.

The Viera have always been tall. Making them shorter would literally go against the race.

So because you like tall characters, no one else can have short ones?
I enjoy playing smaller races in MMOs.
What we have in XIV is a bunch of races that are 'average human' size and then 'comically small'.
I'd very much appreciate a race that is halfway between a Lalafel and a Miqo in height. It'd make the height gradient from Roe -> Lala look much smoother.

And before you tell me to just play a Lalafell, I dislike the majority of their movement animations. Their weird physical features also wreck all my glamours. Some are funny, like the NIN run but I don't like how they move in general, it looks weird to me. Au Ra have a strange kind of stiff kneed run and Hyur Midlanders just go full cutesy feminine. Of all the races, Miqo currently have the best animations overall while also being fairly short.
I greatly enjoyed the personality in a lot of the Viera animations when I switched around launch but the run animations threw me, along with being unable to make a more petite version, something the Feol could do nicely as a sub-race in the same way Highlanders swing the pendulum into masculinity.

No one is trying to 'take away' your tall Viera.

Their side by side artwork isn't canon, it's a Tumblr post. In fact, the very link you posted states the physical differences between Feol and other Viera being the shorter ears alone.

Another sub-branch, called the feol viera (or the Exiled), exists in Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. They are different from the other viera physically, having shorter ears, fair skin and blonde hair.

Doesn't specify height at all. In fact, no where in the article does it state anything concrete about what height either version of Viera is. Closest it gets is stating that they have long limbs. All it does it make a point of referring to the Feol as being physically different from Viera. Going as far as specifying that Feol aren't "full-blooded" Viera.
Since our Viera are not a 1 to 1 clone of FF12/Tactics Viera, the devs can do what they like with the fairly vague statement of "physically different".

The devs already have done what they like.

And, for someone who so quickly jumped to call others wrong, you are now conveniently ignoring there is no evidence that all vieras are anything but tall.

Actually we have more tall female races than we need, especially now with the Viera.

Tall: Roegadyn, Highlander, Elezen, Viera

Medium: Midlander, Miqote, Au Ra

Small: Lalafell

What we really need is another race in the Lalafell range. We had options for tall female races all the time, but if you want to be small there is only one option.
