not even going to waste my time on this if you pay moeny to skip levels you still pay to win. period cant change that.Still don't see what anyone wins by doing so.
Do they get shiny items not able to be obtained ingame without skipping?
Do they get a special achivement/title showing they are better than others who played the game?
If you think levels = winning, I don't know what to feel about your values.
Sorry.

Those 50 levels aren't an inherent advantage over anyone. Especially not when our level cap is 80. Unless there's a blatant advantage, it's not a pay to win item.
Inb4 "it's an advantage over those who don't pay for 50 levels" - because leveling to 50 takes so long in this game? Make a character on a preferred world with the Road to 69 buff. I had a character on Twintania that was level 50 in less than 2 days of casual play.
What shiny? Level 50 isn't an accomplishment in a game with a level cap of 80.

While the intent is good, I think more and more people like that (Hall or not) are not going to care nor put any effort towards learning rotations. SE wants us all to feel good! We're all Warriors of Light/Dark no matter the skill level! Learning proper rotations and DPS theory crafting won't increase that SE bottom line. Basics of their class?? What are you doing??I've been seeing a lot of things lately.
For example on Titania Ex learning, we had a rdm that did under DPS then the MT and WHM. Upon looking at rotation they didn't know how to melee combo. Meaning they didn't once melee combo the whole fight.
So It wasn't good.
Furthermore, I've also run into tanks who don't know how to Shirk or Invul at 80 on Innocent Ex. I feel like there should be another hall available for higher levels that jump so they learn the basics of their class.
It's kind of scary.
Pls help SE.![]()
Hey! I used HoH and PotD to learn my RDM, I even got to floor 100 of HoH 5 times on my RDM.
People can also level their classes by spamming fates and dungeons, and still not learn their class.
What actually decides whether or not you learn your class, is if you took time and effort to learn it. Tbh we should be probably be harsher on those who take no effort, and kick 'em, instead of carrying them though content.
No but really, what shiny does one get by getting to the previous expansion's level cap? Just cause we took the long way doesn't mean others have to as well if an option to catch up quicker just exists. And again, playing a job a long time doesn't automatically mean you'll know what the heck you're doing.
It still isn't pay to win. P2W means you are paying money to gain a advantage over other players. There is no advantage to someone leveling faster than you. It's Pay to convenience if it has to be categorized as anything.
I think it's more like, those new players with level skips don't experience as many mechanics that you end up seeing in later dungeons.
At lvl 70+, (which should be more than enough time to learn the game, level skip or not) I am seeing people who still don't know what a stack marker means. Or that some status effects can/have to be esuna'd off.
And I have seen some people who really need to practice moving out of enemies aoes, and learn to not stand by the tank during tank-buster cleaves
(also, I think everybody should try PvP at some point. It really improves your reaction times and thinking on the spot, which can help with dodging aoes and doing mechanics in PvE content)
