Discrimination against PS4 users?

I have people in my guild who have cleared ultimate tier raids using a ps4 controller... a few who use a ps4 controller on the pc. Anyone not wanting to play with a ps4 player because of the controller being "Inferior" is honestly just has absolutely no clue what they are talking about. There is an issue in raiding involving ps4 though, lack of voice chat. It is common for pc raiders and people doing learning partys to use a common discord server. Personally when I make learning groups or make a raid static, being in voice is required. No Voice No Party that simple. Ps4/Pc I could care less about it is all about being able to listen/call shots and knowing how to perform at optimal efficiency. If you can do that with a controller more power to you. All I have to say is most those dps who cry about controller users... just know you are more then likely being horribly outdamaged by a lot of them.

The day when somebody tells you that you have to use 3rd party program is the day when you have right to open the report window (especially if these people are smart enough to write this in the game chat/PF description).

Your call but in a learning party, not being able to communicate is a hindrance.



Enjoy your slow progressing parties. And this is not me being against anything just saying the truth. And I will say this 100% of top performing groups use Discord or some other voice program. In this and every other single mmo and honestly and group based game mmo/f2p/MOBA, ect. This is a standard requirement for any upper tier raid group. Communication in a group based game is the key to proper progression.


Good thing Discord is a free phone app, which is how the vast majority of PS4 raiders play this game. As long as they can hear callouts. IF they are going to be raid lead it is as simple as use a headset with your phone on voice activate mode.


Once a fight is learned, yea who needs discord there is no RNG in fights in FFXIV. But while learning you will find with voice, you progress 2 to 3 times faster.
