Is Pagos really that bad solo?

Apologies if I posted this to the wrong board, I’m still new to the forums. Feel free to redirect me to a more appropriate board.

So I’m looking to get the behemoth pelt from a fate (I think it’s a fate) in pagos, but after chatting with some players in anemos and doing some research I came to the conclusion pagos is god awful for solo players. So right now I’m really really tempted to buy it off the market board for I think 500k, could be 400k but all you need to know is it’s bloody expensive off the mb. So I would like to ask, is pagos really that bad solo?

In my honest opinion? Yes, it really is that bad. lol 500k is a small price to pay when compared to the torment that is Pagos.

Agree with this sentiment. Eureka was like they took everything that was bad about old MMOs and shoved them into one place. I'm actually surprised there are still people there past the first instance after ShB's release.

First, 500k isn't a terrible amount. There's genuinely not a lot to be spending gil on, unless you're after housing. It piles up over time.
Second, 500k is an indication of how unpleasant it is to acquire. You're paying someone else to go through the hassle.

Third, how you find Eureka depends on what your expectations are, what you want out of it, etc. It's rarely as bad as everyone would make it seem.

But, be mindful that Anemos is the easy zone. It can be easy to navigate, easy to get around, sorta easy to solo. Pagos is a little more of a hassle. But as long as you know aggro types, it's not all that much of a bother.

Finally, assuming it comes from the Behemoth-esque NM, it's fairly high level, and you'll be unlikely to be able to solo it in any case.

I probably killed the behemoth atleast 20 times and never got a pelt. I don't know if one participant is guaranteed an item in Eureka's NM battles or not, but back when it was popular content, these NMs were known for their abysmal droprates.

500k is nothing.
