I spent one (1) hour solo in whatever the first Eureka zone is (because shouting looking for a group got me approximately zero responses or invites) and it was so dreadful that I have never once been back.
I'd be shocked if any of it at all was less awful solo.
Anemos was fun when the trains got rolling. Pagos took active steps to kill the trains, and the fun died with it.
Yeah. They tried to "fix" that eventually but by that point the damage was already done. A lot of people simply couldn't be bothered and I couldn't blame them. I didn't enter Pagos until well after they made it easier (though still horrible) and I was in and out of there in about 2 weeks I think playing casually. It was a place best completed in small doses.
I love pagos and play solo sometimes, I don't think it's bad at all. I like things to be a bit hard though. Makes it feel like I actually accomplished something.
It's gonna be really bad for new players to solo there. But if you have full elemental gearset+Phsyeos weapon, then it's easy to solo stuff there for mobs up to level 38 and NMs that you have to level sync for. I managed to solo spawn King Artho and kill it that way.
But yeah, paying 500k is the better option to save yourself from the headache of spawning the NM and killing it and hope for the drop (didn't get the belt from Artho when I killed it).
Pagos is way faster solo in my experience, but it depends on what you're doing. If you on the light phase then absolutely solo is the best. If you are farming bunnies or leveling up then going in a party is better
They gated relic weapon / armor behind Eureka which I never liked. Instead of doing that they could have come up with another idea to get people to use the content. This was a chance to really be creative and give us a fun leveling experience.
Instead we got punished for dropping chains in Pagos initially and then SE realised that the NM train was what people really wanted so they gave us that option back 3 or so weeks after the content was released. By then Pagos was already stigmatized by the player base for being terrible. The sleeping dragons being placed around the map didn't really add anything either.
The only good things to come out of Eureka were the logos system which let roles use abilities they don't usually have access to and Baldesion Arsenal.
