"The Viera live deep within the woods; male and female Viera live separately from each other and only make contact and communication when the need arises, though this may not be necessary due to their lifespan which is three times that of Humes."
XIVcensus has data on how many players there are of each race, both active and total. I would, however, argue that the active one is slightly unreliable at the moment as everyone who have completed 4.1 still counts as active according to its criteria, which makes the new races seem less popular than I actually think they are.
Learn, explore, and think for yourself. Make your choices, take actions, and let yourself be free.
I've seen no reference to them in-game though. Maybe it's lorebook info or something. This is from the FFXII wiki

It would be believeable if you can give me a reference or screenshot in-game to prove me I'm wrong.
I stand my ground. There weren't meant to be male Viera. That doesn't change the fact that I want them in 14 though.

Hmm, I don't see Hrothgar doing that bad actually, if look at those census. But I think it may be due to the aesthetics. Some simply don't like the feral like look, some love it. I personally enjoy their look, but due to how armor and weapons look on them, it didn't appeal to me personally. I'd personally wait and see in three months, to see how it pans out for all races, since know a few who left Viera to go back to Au Ra. I'm sure the same can be said for male avatars as well.
Okay so I personally believe that many members of the LGBT related to the Viera due to the fact that they were separated, boys with boys and girls with girls. I'm not saying that it was meant to symbolize the LGBT but it certainly drew us in.Is the “this is aimed at lgbt “ community still going on
It is simple, people know we can’t simply just demand it and see it happen, so they want to slander Yoshi’s Name to attempt twisting his arm up his back by making him have to create male viera to make the claims false.
Sadly it’s likely to have the reverse effect, very rarely will a developer or creator take such extreme behaviour seriously. Because ur attempting to slander his name.
Did he say male viera would be stupid and boring yes, this isn’t a homophobic remark thinking something is stupid isn’t against LGBT, it’s simply a opinon.
We are looking at short elf boys with a mo’tique face and bunny ears, it doesn’t sound great or massively appealing. And would it appeal to a minority, yes it will. But people seem to forget marketing works on the majority, not only a minority.
Could their decision be wrong? Ofcourse. But does that make their intentions wrong? No. It just tars the entire petition by slandering Yoshi in extreme behaviour and decreases the likelihood Yoshi will take any actions to reverting it.
The main issue we have seen is that many people attacking the addition of the males is because " You only want to play a male viera so you can be queer and use it for ERP." So whether it was meant for us or not, both sides have identified gays with male viera. NO race should be made for one sexuality that is stupid, gays don't deserve male viera but it doesn't mean we can't look forward to them.
Yoshi P is a LGBT supporter but he is gonna do what is best for the game. He is not an idiot thinking "I'm being bullied by the gays" he sees all sides and I trust him to do the right thing for the game.
Hmm I've rarely seen Hrothgar in the dungeons I've done
