Is it normal that white mages only spam vita?
Like only vita, no dps skills inbetween.
Got haukke mansion(normal version) in leveling duty roullette and we had a white mage who seemingly only used vita -_-
Our tank died like 2 times and the white mage says that the tank takes too much damage .
And when we reached the final boss, thats where the healer started to use the aoe healing skill.

Not sure if this was a troll.

Were they new (sprout icon)? That might explain the issue. They definitely should have been using Vitra/Cure II by that point, but if they're new and just made it to Haukke Manor, it wouldn't surprise me if they're still figuring things out. A gentle reminder for them to use Vitra instead would have been the best option in that case.

That being said, if they weren't, then they're either leveling their first healer (in which case I might give a little leeway for this sort of thing) or incompetent. I've definitely had runs with healers still spamming Cure in HW-era dungeons, which is even more frustrating.

On a simular grain theres been quite a few times that various healers have been doing this same thing with Physik and Benefic as well its like the healers have zero clue how to cast anything else.

Like early this morning in Well Sch just kept using Physik and that was about it nothing that used a single aetherflow charge no adlo no succor just physik

If they were all DPS/Tank jobs, I might be a little more lenient, though they really should be reading their tooltips and know that by now. As someone who didn't try out healing until I had completed the Stormblood MSQ, it can be a little daunting at first, so I can sympathize, though I would still offer correction. If they had other healers leveled, though, then they were either incompetent or a troll (or possibly both).

was running tam- tara yesterday, tank mentions it's their first time healing this dungeon, fair enough. So we start running the dungeon and one of the ds starts shouting at the tank for not using any AOEs, giving no consideration to the fact that their new at this. We coninue running and the dps proceeds to just run into monster groups ahead of the tank, I was the healer here and I managed to keep everyone alive. the dps eventually starts calling for the tank to be kicked from the party, though the tank just leaves before any vote commences. I hope they weren't scared off tanking by that experience.

Normally, with poetics gear, I would say if they use CDs properly and healer is their friend they queued with, it wouldn't be too bad...but when it's Ironworks, I can only hope they accidentally forgot to switch to their REAL gear and were just trying to figure out a glamour...if not...well, something needs to be done similar to being on say WHM after queuing for a roulette as SAM, where you need to switch before you can accept...just for ilvl as well.

Got Cutter's Cry via leveling roulette for the first time in like 3+ years, partied with my partner and two sprouts (though one was a BLM in Scaevan gear with a bunch of classes at 60+ so I don't know how they were still a sprout). They seemed really eager to run ahead of me despite both being DPS, and at one point the sproutiest sprout ran right into enemies and started zig-zagging back to me. I let them learn from their mistake for a moment while I typed "don't run ahead of me" and then I took aggro from them. They then said in /say that they were just pulling enemies to me because I kept stopping randomly, but I kept stopping because they kept running ahead. I have a pretty strict policy about hasty DPS running in front of me, so I'll stop if they keep running in front of me so they either wait or realize why they shouldn't do that because they pulled something. I especially have zero patience for DPS that decide to pull enemies to me because I'm not going fast enough for them.

Additionally, then my partner died on the last boss (he lagged so he couldn't dodge the ice) and the sproutiest sprout and I managed to live for the last ~30% of its health. I've never seen someone leave a duty as fast as they did, though.

Just ran MSQ roulette. I know, the EVIL one!!!!!!!!!! But honestly idm it and I actually lightly enjoy CM when it favors me w/ its presences. But here lately people I get in the roulette are starting to ruin it for me and idk if I wana go in anymore. It's really good exp! And I only do it for leveling... but when I constantly get people who just want to AFK at the start and stay "AFK" through out the entire dungeon, it becomes an issue. Especially if multiple people try to, it makes the run that much slower.

And of course half the time half the party just condones it and lets it slide by when I try to kick them... it really is starting to grate on me. /sigh

Yes it sucks and it's long and the unskippable CSs are sucky... but why punish yourself and the rest by making it slower? W/ everyone just bashing their heads on their KBs and AoEing all the stuff!! It goes that much faster! Even if it's by a minute or two!
