Ran'jit's strength makes no sense

Yeah, part of the way it works for the Warrior of Light is that we have basically 'extra power on' mode and 'extra power off' mode. In the former, we're usually empowered by something, whether that be the Blessing of Light, One of Hraesvelgr's Eyes, Ardbert's Fusion, the Bonus Light, etc. When we're in the latter mode, technically even ordinary soldiers and the like are considered a threat. So it's not that crazy that someone like Ran'Jit, a legendarily powerful warrior, could be a huge threat since we're in off mode. Especially since he's implied to be part Sin Eater.

That being said, I will echo some of the others here in how the final battle with Ran'Jit was a little anti-climactic, especially with the way more exciting duty against Thancred before that point. He should have either died there or had some other more climactic final battle, possibly with Thancred getting the final blow as good Dad and Bad Dad duke it out.

I agree and I think that they wasted an opportunity there for the Mt Gulg dungeon which could have been better with the Jongleurs, Ran'jit and Sin Eater Songstress for bosses.
