Help me out here...how is this a "Show Male Viera Support" thread again?
Im seeing nothing but posts about Body types. Or would any defender tell me that the Body Types discussion going on is the "Support" the Male Viera need?

Is there perhaps a chance that people are using "child like" when they really mean "youthful?" With the exception of Hrothgar, Roegadyn, and Highlanders, the races have a male variant have a face option (I think it's 3 for all of them) that's quite youthful looking with softer features and larger eyes. Those same features also allow for an androgynous look if someone so desires.
That said, the terminology people are using is all over the board so I could very well be missing something. Some folks seem to be conflating elegant with effeminate when the two mean different things. Using terms like "softer/feminine/elegant" together reads like a coded way of saying "I want to see effeminate men in game" without saying it. An elegant man doesn't necessarily display feminine traits and an effeminate man isn't necessarily elegant.
If we do get male viera in game, I'd like to see them built like male ballet dancers or gymnasts. Powerful and athletic, but with a grace of movement that you get with that sort of physical training.
I imagine quite a lot of people are absolutely fine with the idea of male viera and female hrothgar adhering to conventional gender norms. A compromise has already been put forward in the form of at least one androgynous/feminine base face. Which is something many of us have consistently stated throughout the thread...only to now be attacked because we're not on board with the design across the board being dictated by such aesthetics.

I stopped to count amount of my facepalms some pages ago. It's not even body types discussion already, it's "non-overly masculine looking guys haters" vs "non-overly masculine looking guys lovers" endless war (with misusing terminology and thousands of misunderstandings with instant rage-reaction instead of proper asking about actual meanings in addition).

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your art. It looks great. It's sad it was buried in all these posts. I would love to see more if you're ever up to drawing more.Thought I'd share some fanart I made. It's not perfect but I had fun making it

So I just want to clear things up with you, which is why I am quoting you. You said you were confused about what I wanted. This is not an attack post, nothing snarky in it, just wanted to clear things up.
We have the concept art with the tall male viera, which I like, and we have the small hummingway viera which I also like. I like both of these concepts equally. Let me repeat, I like both concepts and would be happy with either - two things can be true at the same time.
I don't view the hummingway viera as children - I view them the same way I view lalafell. I don't want to play as a child.
When people were freaking out over the hummingway concept art because some people would erp, I kind of rolled my eyes. People will do that regardless. However, after reading the liveletter, and becoming aware of the modding community in this game for the first time, I realized if people took screenshots of inappropriate mods, posted them online, and gave ffxiv bad press, it could hurt the game or even potentially shut it down.
I want to be clear I was not aware just how big the modding community was, or what kind of inappropriate content was being made.
So, let's set aside the smaller hummingway concept art - it's clear it won't be happening. There's no need to continue fretting over it.
For the taller concept art, like I said, I like it, and would love to play as a male viera that looked like that. If male viera were to ever be implemented into the game, I think the model would use a modified elezen base. Not only do I think this is most likely, but I also prefer it to be this way as well. I also think they would have a face similar to male miqo'te, like Yoshida described.
If the elezen base was modified in such a way to make the head bigger and the proportions better, just like they did with female viera, that would be fantastic. They did a great job with female viera, so I think they will do a good job with the males, if they do it.
What would be a bonus for me is if they used the male elezen base and modified it so the biceps were just a tad bit less big, and if the torso and shoulder wasn't so wide. Like I said, this is just a bonus for me. Using an elezen base at all is what I would like to see.
Here's my opinion on height: I'm pretty flexible when it comes to height. I don't care if male viera are taller, shorter, or the same height as females. I thought what Roda posted earlier was a great height.
Maybe androgynous was not the correct term to use, but I used that term to refer to a body type like omega m. Maybe another example would be like the elf race from tera online.
As for your thing about "not having diversity for the sake of diversity" - I would agree with you when it comes to things like employment in real life or things of that nature. However, when it comes to character customization, I think diversity is sort of the point of creating a character.
If I use terms incorrectly or if they confuse you, I'm sorry for that. But instead of jumping to conclusions or accusing me or anyone of things, or suspecting someone of having nefarious motivations, just ask a sincere question and you'll get a sincere answer.
Ultimately, I would be happy if male viera were put in the game at all, and I would respect the design decision of the devs. At the end of the day, I think the design of male viera should be left up to the devs, and that should be respected.
If we're going to talk about tera online models, I would prefer male viera with male elf body type:

I never got the Fran love. I always thought she was a silly character. Bunny babes are corny enough.

In regards to body type I think I'd like the male Viera regardless. With a highlander, midlander, elezen, au ra, castanic or high elf body. What matters the most to me are the animations.
The chest fur idea is kind of growing on me. I would still like for it to be optional, but I wouldn't be too bothered if the chest fur was stuck on the model.

That's probably the most accurate portrayal I've seen yet. I can see them more toned as the ladies are pretty toned themselves.I thought what Roda posted earlier was a great height.
