It is also a very effective way to learn boss mechanics as well since the NPCs know what to do so you just need to follow their lead.
This is what I'm really enjoying about trusts, I'm having an absolute blast and can learn mechanics at my own pace, without being a burden to others, and enjoying the storyline. I'm curious though, since I've yet to run DF in the new dungeons... are the monsters damage and/or mechanics the same as the trust dungeons, or has it been reduced in the latter?
I love the Trust system, I've done the lvl 71 and lvl 73 dungeons now using it. It makes learning the mechanics sooo much less stressful. I also ran the lvl 71 with some FC mates, and the last boss' circular attack messed me up because with the trust it always started in the same place, facing the same way, but in the party with my FC mates he was turned the other way around and it went the other way. I'd been farming it for the minion - no luck with that, so ran to the same spot I always did with the trust and well.. oops.
I used them on the first dungeon on a first run through and had a good time honestly. Granted yes it took a little longer. I did have to agro everything but the Crystal guy was tank and he did good at picking up agro. The dps did eat a couple mechanics but nothing that was ever a danger. I'd put it on a rank of average DF party, just minus the headaches. I'm planning to be using trusts a lot just because it was a no headache run.
I've got to a point in the MSQ, where I thought trusts would really be more beneficial (for myself at any rate) would be in trials... and the trust system isn't available for them, as yet, just a fyi. Must admit this has really disappointed me, I struggle a lot more with mechanics in trials than I do in dungeons.... I refuse to go in DF anymore, so I guess I'm halted in the MSQ again til it's either unsynced or trust is added for that oh well, that's it for me I think I'm done with the game for nowCheers guys and have fun <3

I have used them for 2 dungeons. The 2nd one was a nightmare. A certain healer likes to eat aoes :/
While we are on the topic of Trust i also have a question if i may, can you only use them for a one time thing for each dungeon?
I know you can speak with them and have the option to do the instance with them at that point.
You can use trusts repeatedly, but you only have the "speak to characters at the dungeon entrance" thing during the MSQ. If you want to do it after that, there's a new option in the Duty menu for trusts that brings up the character selection menu.
Trusts are great during the msq. I would often use them for my first runs to get a feel for boss mechanics before doing them with a party later to grind exp or get gear.
Once you finish the msq it all goes to crap. All the characters are set to 71 and it takes six runs of the first dungeon just to get them to 72. And everyone levels individually, so if you start as a dps but then want to use trusts to level a healer, guess what you gotta levle up a second dps in the trusts too.
I don't think I'll be leveling with trusts for alt jobs.
Maybe on bizarro world Siren but everywhere else I've found the opposite. Most people that will use Trusts are not going to be using them on their first run through the content. Which means they're basically using them for their alt jobs. Which means the restrictions are unnecessary. And even the people that do use Trusts for first time run through content, they'll continue to use them after the MSQ. Which, again, makes the restrictions unnecessary.
