If this is answered later in the MSQ please don't spoil it for me, but how do you reckon Emet-Selch was behind Allag? He couldn't very well have been Xande, since we know Xande did actually die and didn't fake it - he had to be dead for him to have been revived by Amon.

Well my current theory is

is that he was the one inspired Xande to become an emperor, or introduced the Allagans to omega and influenced their rapid technoloy growth

Regarding MSQ ending.

Seeing how Emet is dead, which renders the entire army of Solus clones useless makes me believe that Varis have probably been cloning himself a bit.

I'm sure I skipped some important dialogue.. But

It seemed to me like the Ascians (or perhaps just Emet) purposefully brought about the flood of light on the first. If that's the case, then Hydaelyn isn't the evil one. Additionally, we smite Emet with light, not darkness, which restored the balance. We were only faux Warriors of Darkness.

For your first point, the response is : yes.

And "Warrior of Darkness" is just a title, a legendary figure of the First who is supposed to bring back the night and stop the Sin Eater, nothing to do with our power or the power we acquired in the First, it's still Hydaelyn Benediction and the Echo that helped us resolve the First problems, we still are the Warrior of Light

I mean, I always wanted it, but I wasn't even ready for actual canon to give it to me. I can't help but appreciate how totally unashamed the story was about his feelings, basically making him our second hero-sexual companion after dear, departed Haurchefant. (Fortunately he's much sturdier than he looks.)

Still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but at least we have a few months off from MSQ.

I am curious....

How will they handle the Warriors of Light in 5.X storyline. Now that the plan has shifted to using Warriors of Light against our WoL/WoD, things may get more complicated.

Though knowing mnaga/anime/JRPG plots, these new Warriors of Light maybe the type of people that are blinded by their desire to become "Heroes" and thus putting into the question of "What does it mean to be a Hero?"

As for the ending that tease the upcoming raid storyline...

They better not off Ryne in the Raid storyline. She been through enough and Thancred has just begun to take his role as a Father seriously.

I really hope Ryne stays as one of the Main Characters and join the Scions in the source ebcause she plays a huge role in Thancred's development and growth from his old self which was a playboy that ignored his chance to be a father to Minfilia as she grew up into a actual father figure.

Not to mention I want to see how she grows up into her own individual person with Thancred's influence of course since he is the "Father"

I absolutely agree!

Seeing Thancred grow the way he did, it's amazing. It's wonderful. And the two of them have a chemistry I absolutely love.
Didn't expect to like Ryne as much as I did. Glad she got to be herself instead of Minfilia 2.0.

In the category of "lines Koji changed because they were too obvious":

When Thancred is holding off Ran'jit in Amh Areng, he declares, "I won't let you get in the way of my kid sister or my daughter!" (Referring to the upcoming meeting of the Minfilias.) In the Japanese voice track, at least. It's the first time he's ever put his relationships with either of them in words, so I couldn't help but be a little disappointed at how much of his emotional honesty was cut out of the English script. It seems weird (to me, anyway) that such a clear, definitive moment in his arc would be rewritten into something less so, but I'm not the Localization Director.

So during the Role Quest, we see the names of the WoD's party as the following:

Lamitt
Renda-Rae
Nyelbert
Branden

But during 3.2 Soul Surrender, those same individuals are named:

Lamimi
J'rhoomale
Naillbert
Brynden

Did they change their names? Also the Elvaan mage, I guess she died and was replaced?
