It seemed to me like the Ascians (or perhaps just Emet) purposefully brought about the flood of light on the first. If that's the case, then Hydaelyn isn't the evil one. Additionally, we smite Emet with light, not darkness, which restored the balance. We were only faux Warriors of Darkness.
