I'm personally not convinced it was as big an issue as they seem to think. I've been playing will high refresh rates since the middle of Heavensward and never had any physics or clipping issues. Anecdotal, I know.
I'm just reacting against people who say FPS doesn't matter. If it doesn't matter, then neither does anti-aliasing, shadows, depth of field, higher texture detail levels, or resolution.
The visual appeal of the game is part of the gameplay experience.
No argument on SQe handling this properly though. They tried something, their fans told them it didn't work, they're now reversing course. I'm very happy with them.
