Hrothgar aesthetic concern.

Even with the limitations I have yet to see two Hrothgar that look the same. People are doing great jobs with customizing them

Yeah, from a design PoV a race that encourages creative use of colors and patterns has a great range of looks to pull from seeing as color and patterns and outlines are what stand out the most.

But yeah, even if all you give me is the option for the OTHER hairstyles for my face I want that choice SE. Don't make me pay to just change the hair -_-

I would like to think future hairstyles will be wearable by all faces in the future. That this limitation was brought about by the "rush" to have the race ready for launch. To ask Hrothgar players to spend real life money every time a patch brings new hairstyles would be absurd. That is what I hope, at least.

It seems that the hairstyles are literally stuck to the faces, on a coding level, so there won't be any "choosing between hairstyle options for your face" unless they implement a way to change your face without a Fantasia.
So Face A with hairstyle A, and Face A with hairstyle B, are in fact just Face A and Face B, with the same model for the face.
Their 'customisable' bits have been allocated to fur patterns.

That's fine customising the fur. The problem is future hair styles. As currently there is no hair option when using the crystal bell.

Based on what I've presumed there, there won't be any more hairstyles. No more than there will be any more horns for Au Ra, or ears for Viera.
Fur patterns take up that slot.

Yoshida: We developed Hrothgar to be a “human beast”, so face patterns and hair styles are linked. I told the staff “You don’t need to implement common hair styles” and thats why we have our current design of the Hrothgar. We will be introducing more hair styles for Hrothgar, but those will be to strengthen the image or the roll playing of a “beast” so those will be only for Hrothgar. Please look at it as a race that is different from the existing ones from the base concept.

It'd be a bummer if they introduced these without a way to freely swap though, they really do need to let us swap faces for free.

For me my fur patterns don't even show on my char, the only time I'm barechested is when i go dancer due to the mog, so i feel its bit of a let down i mean how many fur patterns could you make that are just either dots or lines.
(I'm sure they have things line up so will see what cat comes out the bag)

My small quip is that I would love to have a straight back option, I look a lot more imposing as the WoL/WoD when I tower over my enemies then be hunched over in front of them the live actioned beast (beauty & beast) has a better posture then i do at mo.
