MMOs and reviewers have never really...worked correctly together. MMOs demand so much time that a review can't really get into. And "MMO reviewers" are almost worse, because they're now trying to spend that much time on multiple games that demand that much.

It's unfortunate, because that time investment means potential players are in need of good reviews to help them decide if it's worth getting into. A difficult problem to solve for sure.

People care what lazypeon thinks? I never liked the guy or his videos when he was making WoW content and I still don't like him.

This game has a very marmite feeling to it, you either like it or you don't, he doesn't like it, so what, plenty of others do.

I never heard of him in my life until now. I see he has a ton of thumbs down on that video too!

This has nothing to do with ShadowBringers, and everything to do with ARR solely. He literally has no clue what he is talking about. Finishes ARR whining about it the whole time, but buys a story skip AFTER he finishes ARR, and says he did the "smart thing". His commentary is awful as well. Worthless.

However, I did bring up how awful the ARR leveling experience can be for new players about 2 months ago (on these forums), and how more and more expansions that force you to go through ALL of the story (without paying for a skip/boost) will become bloated and daunting for many a new player.

Someone like this "reviewer" never had any interest in this game in the first place. They stop playing WoW, but all they want to play is WoW, so why don't they just play WoW?

I stopped watching TheLazyPeon a while back because he never seemed to "get it" when it came to most MMORPGs. At one point I decided it was willful just to drive views and left him behind. He's irrelevant.

Agreed, it's perfectly fine to dislike a game. SE is never going to please everyone. But if someone is going to give a review it'd probably help if they knew what they were talking about. And TheLazyPeon clearly does not. This video makes himself look bad, not the game or SE.

I actually enjoy WoW, mostly for PvP.

What many of these people want is just WoW, then trashing anything that isn't exactly like it. This isn't about like or not, this YouTuber masquerades as a reviewer, but this is barely even that. Don't get me wrong, as I said in my post, the ARR leveling does suck. He isn't wrong about how bad it is. I was shot down in my thread a couple months ago for saying such.

What I am saying is this isn't a proper review, and this YouTuber obviously didn't do anything but mess around, and do story. He didn't review aspects of the game. It is a 'lazy' review, in my opinion. A proper review should encompass the full scope of the game.
