    Lemme fix that for you.
English must not be your first language either.

Here is a real world example.

A man buys a knockoff Rolex watch for 80 bucks because he wants to seem like he has money and is successful to people he meets.

I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

I could have sworn it was just a mindset that valued one personal playstyle above all others, often to the point of ridicule.

Nah, I just suck with where/were, their/there, and other homonym crap.

But capped "I"s? Come on, that's one of the first things you learn.

I am pretty sure a person can be an elitist without involving video games or playstyles at all.

No where in your post did you ask for an in game example.

Also if you think you have the answer why ask me?

    Hello Tagihi

For what its worth, And just some advice to you for posting here. Your commets are Very Valid and I read with interest, Sadly to say it isnt just in this game but it is all over the world in real life but having Said that here is the thing im Sure you are Aware.

1.Most Genuine players "Caring Normal people" Dont Behave the way you have talked about in your situation.
    2. People who behave Badly in the game commonly comes from 3 Categories they are
    A. Convict's or Criminals
    B. Children or juvaniles who are wet behind thier ear's who know's nothing about life and cant see pass thier Nose.
    C. People from Defuncked Families who are Dragged up and not Brought up.
3.Posting here will invite those three Categoris and will not resolve anything really , Because SE isnt really interested.

My Advice to you is as I do , Just Ignore people who behave in a Bad way. Warn them Against your Friend's so they dont have to Endure the same as you do. Keep away from them. And when time permits report them to GM when they finally do something about it.

At this moment in time SE is too Scared to do anything. The last thing they want to do is lose people, When they are desperate for people to play FFXIV , so nothing will happen about my last comment on GM. Keep to your friends and your self to your self. and please dont Take on to your self and be upset by Idiot as said points A,B,C and there are many ;-)

    Have a good day

Well sense we where on the subject of FFXI, I thought that videogames where the context of which the word was used, and as such I was confused by your use of the word.

*sigh* these threads make me sooo sad

Why, oh why must some people insist on being so insensitive, mean, and inconsiderate to others?

I understand sometimes we want to win so bad that we lose sight of other people's feelings but there has to be a better way. Like maybe stop rudely kicking players from parties. If you don't like the way the party is performing, be it due to one player or several players, then kindly and respectively excuse "yourself" from the party and leave. If you have friends in the party that you would like to still party with, send them a tell and let them know you will be leaving and reforming the party because this one will not succeed in its present form.

I think that the worst thing we can do as a community is allowing this behavior to perpetuate itself by allowing it to continue by not speaking against it. What happens is that it becomes ingrained in the game culture and everyone just continues doing it as they get better, simply because it was done to them when they weren't quite so good.

Bottom line, no one likes to be mistreated. There is more than one way to go about dealing with a situation like this but the worst way is by being rude and disrespectful to each other. I am typing too much as it is but I would just like to leave this post with this ... "Do not do unto others as you would not like others to do unto you"

    *sigh*

Usely people say get a linkshell tell them to help you!
But somehow the OP is the victim of elitism and bias?

So in short you and your friend, who just hit 50, and who have never done the fight before and were joining a group that I'm assuming had been doing the fight were the victims of "bad healers" and that is the only possible explanation for why you died.

There are many ways to wipe on primal fights, it is not always the healer's fault. In fact I've never even heard of this "blame the tank first" mentality that is supposedly rampant, I have heard of blaming healers like you do here though. It is quite common among tanks and others who believe they can't possibly improve themselves being absolutely perfect in their role.

If I was forming a pick up group and someone made a mistake I certainly wouldn't call them a noob and kick them, but I might do something similar to that if these new members started immediately shifting the blame to the rest of the existing party and refusing to acknowledge or accept any criticism or suggestions from people who had beaten the fight just prior.

For all we know the real victims could have been the poor party who graciously invited the OP and his friend (despite not knowing them), only to have them wipe and then immediately rage on them for being "wannabe elitists" who fail to recognize their infallibility due to their awesome gear and superior knowledge of tactics they read on the forum.
