Over-priced Microtransactions!!! PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

You are brainwashed to the micro transaction system, it's ok for you if you like it and buy it. Here, I'm not buying those item, and I will continue to criticize and not encourage that system. It's ok for you if it's how you see things, but that's not my point of view on gaming. Sadly for me, as long as people like you exixt, people who are ok with this system and buy stuff from it, well that system will stay in place. I just wish that people could stop buying from those microtransaction. I don't blame you, but don't try to convince me that it's ok to have a cash shop AND a subscription, I will always disagree.

How are people 'brainwashed' by the microtransactions of the Mogshop? There's no advantage to owning any of the items other than having something pretty/stylish/cool to look at. There's no overt or subliminal messages saying 'buy our stuff' in the game. They barely even advertise the shop on the launcher until something new comes out.

It's not brainwashing to accept something when there's nothing wrong with it. If the items offered competetive bonuses or other advantages over other players then it would be a bad practice, but as it is there's absolutely nothing wrong with a company offering extra items for a price.

Maybe brainwashed was a bit hard, but, you can't tell that the system have nothing wrong with it, or else noone would be complaining. It's just your opinion here. Like I have my opinion against that system. And the OP made this thread because he also felt that something was wrong in that system. Anyway thisis going nowhere, so I will just stop answering it, I already said my opinion and I will just repeat myself more and more, I find that system broken and that's all.

You're not entitled to optional items just because you pay a monthly sub. I honestly can't comprehend where this mentality even comes from. You realize they don't even have to create any of those items to begin with right? You're not owed anything that's on the mogstation. There's also way more mounts and outfits that are obtainable through in-game means, so it's not like they are gating every single cosmetic behind a paywall like BDO does. They are extra optional items that if someone wants them at any point, then they exist for those that want to purchase them. They aren't going to slash their profits because a very very small minority thinks they are overpriced and somehow think they are owed them for free.

The only thing I can see that's wrong with it is that a lot of the non-fantasia/jump potion items aren't account wide and some of the mounts could be at least a two-seater, but aside from that it's fine.

I don't care, honnestly. But I'm someone who like to achieve everything in a game, but I find ridiculous to spend 24$ US (so that means like 35$CAD) on some pixels for a mount, especially with the amount of money I put in the game. Since it's a part of a "pay-to-win" and I hate to do it but do it anyway, I pay to have 10 retainers, which double the subscriptions fees. That's a lot of money for a game, so every other stuff on the Mog Station, I would like to have them, but I don't want to put any more money than what I already do in the game. And, since I hate really, really much the microtransaction system, I try to don't encourage it, and like I said the only extra I pay are the retainers because they enter in the "pay-to-win" category, and I will need them, especially early on the ShB release to get lots of mats every 40 minutes to level my crafters. But that retainer system is also one of the major reason why I hate so much what they are doing. The least would have been to at least give us an extra retainer every expansion, or at least to incrase the space we have on them. As a crafter - this is my end game - I need those retainers, call it hypocrysis if you want but they don't give a lot of other choices if you like crafting and storing mats.

But to answer the question, it's because I like to have every items and glamour in a game, but, that system don't allow me to have it since I won't encourage it. I would prefer to have less glamour items/events than what we have now but everything for free, if it's the cost of removing those microtransaction. They also have been super lazy on Stormblood by just re-releasing lots of old glamour and making them dyable on the normal content.
