Because I'd personally prefer they focus the team on creating more quality content for us (raids/dungeons/etc) which will help retain the increased playerbase which will come with the release of ShB, rather than wasting those resources and time on creating alternate sexes for the races.

How about a new take on the discussion? What jobs could be tied to Male Viera? I could see something like a short spear and Shield tank or maiming dps Hunter.

Possibly a dual sword wielding Rogue/ Assassin/ Ranger/ type fighter, something to the effect of Dritzz.

I'd like Male Viera to bring some kind of "Green Word" job, closest one to that would be Green mage.

I was wondering what kind of food viera would eat since they're based on rabbits. I was thinking they would be vegan or something, but it turns out some rabbits can eat meat. Some are even cannibals.

Yes, these are handled by entirely different teams. However, the inclusion of new races (missing genders), as stated by Yoshida, would halt/slow their patch release schedule.
