'Just wait' is not a valid excuse anymore, when SE has been stunningly consistent in the fact that they almost make no sweeping changes after expansion, or once the information is live. 4.2 Warrior is the biggest exception, and that's because they're the 'favourite child'.
If nothing is going to change in the short term despite the complaints, then why do people complain early in the first place, putting their credibility at risk by not having all the cards in hand instead of waiting for next week to do so? If anything, this supports the "wait & see" idea, since the outcome will be the same, but without the risk of being wrong (ending up in a crying wolf scenario). Or maybe there is a hidden benefit in complaining now rather than doing it in a few days? Given how SE doesn't care when stuff isn't out yet for people to play, that'd be surprizing.
So, if the outcome is the same, even if you consider the risk tiny, why even take it?

If anyone's going to get anything more substantial than that within the next month or two, it'll be a couple of the DPS jobs and likely Gunblade.

I never thought they'd make any changes at this point, if they make changes to anything it's going to be well after 5.0. All I'm saying is that tooltips on a 2 month old build is not enough data. The only testing that has been done is in a level 73 dungeon and a nerfed normal mode trial. I'll retain my optimistic viewpoint until we have a decent sample size of data at level 80, I'll be more than happy to bite my own tongue if the same issues still exist after the fact.

I would say its more for an individual benefit, by being outrage/disappointed early when it comes to it all going live people can try to articulate their thoughts better with exactly why but all that is in regards to ShB content, ARR-SB content however people do not need to wait for you have access to this already and these changes are not favorable to it, the healing is unnecessary, the downtime in fights will not change, these changes only look at ShB which will be the minority in regards to content, i call these changes bad because they are bad to the majority of content and newer healers are not exactly going to be thrilled when it takes them to possibly lv 71 to maybe have a reason to use so much healing skills that is bad design to me.

I just can't understand the people that constantly yell "just wait your job will be fine" when we've went through this exact same scenario every single expansion so far.
I still remember when, even after we played it and was extremely dissatisfied, we were then told to wait until Savage, as if that was going to somehow change everything Spoiler: it didn't.

I really, genuinely want to know the reasoning behind why you guys keep saying this. If I'm missing something please help me to understand where all your faith is coming from when this has happened multiple times in every case so far already.

It's likely because we have so many new players these days who are clueless as to what the rest of us have been through when it comes to how FFXIV deals with Job Changes and New Expansions. They do listen to us, it's just how they deal with feedback is so archaic and well... not so good. The best bit about how this game does its communication is the live letters, but it honestly feels like thats the only way they communicate with us these days.

We need to be able to help them test the changes like every other MMO and online game out there, not by paying them and having to dedicate our mains to these badly designed jobs locking ourselves out from rewards we could have used on a Job we actually want to play etc. It's just blugh... Story content should not be spoiled, raids should not be spoiled, but they should have select content we can test these jobs in before an expansion release, select members perhaps.

The fact there is people who like how it is this way is odd, the whole system for job changes just feels regressive.

Just release the class changes before the expansion. That still won't change the fact that we can tell how it'll play out from skill descriptions and don't need to actually test stuff. But at least some people might stop using the "wait and see" argument.

Maybe because your loudest negative voices are by the least experienced of you.

The more reasonable ones of you get drowned out so heavily in the salt and the feet stamping. It's easier to just say "It'll be fine" and move on than to waste more energy on it. Why should those who are more optimistic join the downer party? I hit my post cap daily because of it, and frankly, it became painfully obvious that most of them weren't actually looking to discuss, they were looking to vent.

Why waste the time and energy when I can just type "It'll be fine" and move on?

Just curious why you are making this statement with zero evidence to back it up other than "I think".

Clearly you think that only "reasonable" positions are the ones who agree with you.

Glad many people didn't think like you do during the Civil Rights era or any other time where dissidence was needed.
