By sexy, I mean that SE is scared of males showing skin. Name 1 man that shows the same skin that female viera do on their racial armor

But they do show male characters showing skin - they simply do it where it would be acceptable for them to wear little. For example in Dalmasca/Ivalice - it's extremely hot - they live in a desert, so the male protags tend to wear loose fitting clothes which expose the skin. Like Vaan for example who has his abdomen exposed. In FF14 a lot of male Highlanders have their upper chest exposed due to the weather of Ala Mhigo - this is the same in Little Ala Mhigo as well. This behaviour of loose-fitting clothing is mirrored in ul'dah to some extent. However, in the cities they're more likely to be covered for cultural standards as the clothing they wear in Ul'dah signifies their wealth.

So, in a humid environment, the Viera are more likely to wear clothes that are minimal. This is very likely for the males as well. We've seen that the Viera's armour is actually rather Aztec/Mayan in style - so be prepared for the males to wear something loose fitting. The males gear more than likely made of leathers, bone and sinew rather than metal and cotton that take more time to prepare and weave. The males will not have access to armouries, etc since they're nomadic and don't have 'homes'. While the females have access to these things.

This has nothing to do with them being scared to do so. You're just not going to have a random half naked protag/race for no reason.
