Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Hi ! I've been reading this thread for a long time now and I wanted to post finally to show my support because I really want male viera too (Even if I don't know if I could say goodbye to my little catboy haha but I hope I'll have the choice !)

So I was reading all those expectations for the body and I remembered a picture posted recently on the twitter :


And I thought : Wait ! From behind that could be a really cool build for male viera ! Am I the only one ? XD
Of course it looked really androgynous because the heels and the armor (which I personnaly like but it's not everyone cup of thea, haha) and because on that art it's a female viera but if you stripped her down and just look at the shape of the body it could be really nice with good legs, good hips, good shoulders and not too bulky. And then the face, chest and muscles would make the difference.

Anyway, if they are implemanted, I really hope there will be a muscle slider. Because I really like body with muscles but not too heavily visible or event not visible at all, haha ! But again It would be a shame for those who want muscles so I hope it will be present instead of chest slider and not totally absent like Miqote.

And talking about our catboys, I also think their type of body but taller could be amazing with a more elegant posture but again... wishes ! Hahaha !

Anyway ! It was just my two cent and introduction to this thread, hahaha. Now I hope for the best for our bunny mens to be introduce with fierce lion lady.

Yeah I know it is ! I just say the shape, adapted to a male body, could be really cool for a male viera. Personnaly I really like the proportions.

EDIT : With some minor tweaks for the general shape of course and male front body and face !

Slight changes? If you want your Viera to look like female Viera why not make a female Viera? males and females in FFXIV will never look the same

It's why we have an option for genders. If the difference was slight and small as you say they'd just make one body type.

im sure Viera males would go through similar design of all male faces
one young
one old
two in between

beard wise i dont expect anything crazy (if at all)
couple faces would get fluff like elezen and older faces gets something it bit more defined

i do hope they get alot of Scar options
still not a fan Scars are face locked and not something all races and genders can have

You are misunderstanding what I was trying to say I think. Of course it wouldn't be the same, the chest and stomach would be male, the face also would clearly be men faces and also how they stand. I was talking about the general shape. By that I mean how wide are the shoulders and hips, how slender they could be, that kind of things. It was a way to share what kind of silhouette could be great for male viera in my opinion if you make it male.

I wasn't implying a gender neutral body (which could be an amazing feature in games but that's not the subject) but really comparing a general shape if we change brest and face.

And good thing you linked those pictures because my reference was the artwork in which that female viera is quite differente than the in game model on your picture. It's like similar but with less curves.

It's the neck - it's so thick it leaves even male Roes to shame.

Yep, probably because of the neck. Minus the butt thing and the revealing racial gear, I think a male viera with that general sorta shape and slenderness would be good. I know a lot of people want the males to have revealing racial gear, but I don't really care for it. A more clothed male viera would be fine by me.
