Interesting...sure. alive? Hardly because of anything to do with the environment. Players made the world. Not some butterflies you rarely even noticed.yeah its kinda sad that even though ffxi is soooo much older the world feels sooooo much more alive. flowers, trees and leaves moving in the wind. Birds and butterflies flying around fish in the water. the nature is so much more alive and ffxiv rly needs that too it makes exploring the world so much more fun. Really hope they will breath in the same live into eorzea when 2.0 hits.

so lets make a flat map with nothing in it and put hundreds of players on it. will it feel alive than? im not saying only the world with all its small things make it feel alive but its one of the big parts that adds to it.



Just ignore Betelgeuzah, as you can see, he doesn't care much for the game and hopes it tries to make it fail, he doesn't appreciate any of this. This stuff made the world feel alive, because a lot of it you would notice, and some you wouldnt, but when you did it made you feel like you was the only one to be aware of it and experience it.
