Please make places rememberable, I wanna look back and be like, "Wow great times, wish I could go back and do it all over again." I wanna remember all the little things. I want to have another great adventure!

That video is becoming such powerful representation of a game that gets love and attention just for the sake of it! So many stuff you'll see and not even realise it happened in game, and respect it much more.
Now i wanna play XI again ><

I love that video. I still remembering being in awe of first stepping into La Theine after starting in Ronfaure (and seeing that gigantic ram). And then freaking out once I was able to level in the dunes. I do so hope 2.0 will give us those great feelings again.
Also, really making me miss gardening haha! I hope we get a proper garden for our player estates in 2.0

yeah its kinda sad that even though ffxi is soooo much older the world feels sooooo much more alive. flowers, trees and leaves moving in the wind. Birds and butterflies flying around fish in the water. the nature is so much more alive and ffxiv rly needs that too it makes exploring the world so much more fun. Really hope they will breath in the same live into eorzea when 2.0 hits.

My hope for the new year, is that the devs look back at XI and see what made it a great game...despite not having 10mil subscribers...its a game we can all sit and still talk about...not just battles, but storylines (CoP)...mobs...npc's...quests...missions...items...tactics...strategies...locations...there is so much...whether people want to admit it or not...XI has left a profound effect on us...its my hope that the devs look at that and realize where XIV needs to be to accomplish its/their goal. The dev team has my support and my best wishes on getting everything done the way they intend for it. I share the video again...because it is that awesome...not bad for a 10yr old game.

Interesting...sure. alive? Hardly because of anything to do with the environment. Players made the world. Not some butterflies you rarely even noticed.yeah its kinda sad that even though ffxi is soooo much older the world feels sooooo much more alive. flowers, trees and leaves moving in the wind. Birds and butterflies flying around fish in the water. the nature is so much more alive and ffxiv rly needs that too it makes exploring the world so much more fun. so lets make a flat map with nothing in it and put hundreds of players on it. will it feel alive than? im not saying only the world with all its small things make it feel alive but its one of the big parts that adds to it.

Just ignore Betelgeuzah, as you can see, he doesn't care much for the game and hopes it tries to make it fail, he doesn't appreciate any of this. This stuff made the world feel alive, because a lot of it you would notice, and some you wouldnt, but when you did it made you feel like you was the only one to be aware of it and experience it.
We have this already, just go to Gridania near the archer/botanis guild, there are butterflies at daytime, fireflies at night. There are birds flying around in thanalan, too. Movement of the grass and trees is lacking though.

AH HA! So we have pinpointed the exact root to FFXIV's failure. I'm sure the devs will fix this issue immediately. Watch the subscriptions pile in like a baby fawn prancing in the morning dew after a ferociously gentle storm passed thy yesternight.
