Eureka didn't kill the game, but it's mixed to somewhat negative reception of Anemos and the extremely negative reception of Pagos made people play it less, since, honestly, if you don't raid, there isn't much for you to do if you don't do Eureka, as you will basically just limit yourself to the same tome grind we had for the past 5 years.
Hopefully they either improve that Eureka-esque experience in ShB, or at least give players more options if they aren't going to improve it much from Hydatos.

The only reason Eureka has a negative reception is because people want something different from it than it's intention, an end game grind to give people who finished everything else something to do. It's not for people who just reached 70 to rush right before Shadowbringers. 9__9 People expect it to be casual content when it's intention is a early 2000s grind fest. Sure, you can dislike that, but a lot of people actually do enjoy games like that, especially in Japan.Eureka didn't kill the game, but it's mixed to somewhat negative reception of Anemos and the extremely negative reception of Pagos made people play it less, since, honestly, if you don't raid, there isn't much for you to do if you don't do Eureka, as you will basically just limit yourself to the same tome grind we had for the past 5 years.
