Suspended for Otter Nonsense

Almost all of the otter pics were attached to text that was relevant to the dialogues at hand so I'm not sure if it would be counted as spam in that regard. I did browse through that thread a little while ago though and almost every otter post was removed. The OP may have reported those in question, but that's where I feel a moderator could step in with a warning like 'a report has been filed for X, please refrain from continuing with X or Y will be incurred.' A warning would do wonders to course correct most threads.

Also, I think there should be some kind of 'mute' feature like the YouTube comment section has where the OP can basically hide certain posts, though that would probably be abused regularly.

I'll be honest and say I saw the title of that thread and just gave a big NOPE.. lol. If I post in a hotter water thread I try to create a bridge (too often I see people go in and be like "hah you no smart, me smash" <- not suggesting you guys did that, I did not read ANY of that thread), and if I'm not sure I can do that then I tend to just be like "I'm out" .

Could just be the abundance of images. If it just started looking like one endless stream of otters, still a bit spammy. But certainly like if someone came into say my thread on companions and adding some points on what they think about that and then a cute otter picture- would absolutely NOT report lol. That said I might be like "what in the world are you guys doing?" if the text was vaguely related and the pictures became the new "point" of the thread.

I definitely believe that if they gave OP mute post power that it would be abused and as a result we'd see more threads so each person felt like they could control the conversation in the way best lol. Managing human speech is just a lose lose. No matter what you've gone and done something wrong .

Edit: OP as in generic OP not any one specific person, I don't think giving any OP the power to snap their fingers everywhere is good lol.
