Crafting and Gathering need a QoL change asap.

There's a Live Letter on Friday that will be detailing crafting/gathering content.

I think there's a lot of room for Quality of Life changes.

I really hope it's something good. Because otherwise it'll continue to be dropped left and right by people. Also when an Omni Crafter tells you that it needs fixed you know there is a problem. Why can't I just be a black smith..and make stuff without needing to rely on the other crafters? WHY IS THIS EVEN A THING? My rage has subsided, but I still won't be touching this unless it gets reworked properly.

Over the last few weeks i've been taking the time to craft every recipe from 1-50 on all crafts, and it hasn't been that bad really. After that i'll do 51-60 and then 61-70.

Gotta agree with OP, and I'm an omni crafter lol. The fact that they carried over XI's stupid NQ/HQ system topped with there being actual rotations involved is dumb AF. Yeah you can make macros and what not, but why does it need to be that way. Why cant it be put X materials into window, hit button, and out pops a crafted item like idk every other game lol? Crafting doesnt need to be some endgame, complicated shit where you have to look up rotational guides to be good at it. It needs to be more accessible lol.

Why be like every other game when this is its own game and has its own systems. Not every single freaking piece of content or system has to be just like every other boring generic game thats out.

I don't think you understand what "QoL" even means, for that matter. You seem to want a complete overhaul of the entire way DoH and DoL work (hard to tell since you didn't actually say what you want to be changed). That's not a mere "QoL" change.

there's a big jump in difficulty between 50-51. just leve it thru to 53 and equip holy rainbow gear. should get better after that.

It doesn't need to be like every other game. Also, you totally can't make a shovel without wood and metal, so carpentry and smithing. You can buy these things or make them yourself, just like in game. That depends on supply and demand.

It doesn't have to work like it does in any other game, it's how it works in THIS game. Dont like it? Then dont do it.
