Crafting and Gathering need a QoL change asap.

There's a Live Letter on Friday that will be detailing crafting/gathering content.

I think there's a lot of room for Quality of Life changes.

I really hope it's something good. Because otherwise it'll continue to be dropped left and right by people. Also when an Omni Crafter tells you that it needs fixed you know there is a problem. Why can't I just be a black smith..and make stuff without needing to rely on the other crafters? WHY IS THIS EVEN A THING? My rage has subsided, but I still won't be touching this unless it gets reworked properly.

So.. are you saying it should be 1 button presses?

Over the last few weeks i've been taking the time to craft every recipe from 1-50 on all crafts, and it hasn't been that bad really. After that i'll do 51-60 and then 61-70.

It does need to be simplified a bit. Either limit the actions to maybe 10 max, or cut the ingredients to 4 or less for anything.
Many of the higher level cooking recipes take 20+ ingredients, which eat up bag space, and take hours to gather, especially if you want to make HQ stuff.

And, food items last only 30 minutes, after spending 5 hours gathering the mats for a batch of them. They should last at least an hour, and persist through death given the time it takes to craft or the extreme gil needed to buy them.

Plus, if you're at max level CUL, the buffs should last 4 hours.
