Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I'm not sure what you're asking here.
From what I understood, these placeholder/slots for the race/genders are in relation to mounts. In other words, it's how your character is positioned on a mount. It seems like additional slots for races were added.

So I’m guessing SE listened and saw the feedback and actually gave them more money and definitely more staff because there’s no way they could do all this within 2 years. It most likely isn’t clans because yoshi said anything involving changing the body type is difficult and it would be easier to just make a new race altogether. 2 of them is definitely the missing genders but we have no idea what the race would be. Meh, this is all presumption Until it actually happens or gets announced.
I personally doubt anybody is rushing to make Male Viera when they have a whole expansion Launching that needs to be taken care of. Be better for them to actually start working on making the other genders after about a year once they get the current game Polished and released, and Balanced. Then they can and should start pouring resources and planning for 6.0.

If they even decide to make male viera, I don't expect them to be here by 6.0, although it would be a pleasant surprise.
However, it's best to make a decision soon. Not because I'm impatient, but because of the amount of gear they would need to adjust to fit the new models. More and more gear will be coming out, and it'll just pile up.

From my understanding they are place holders for mounts, the size of the model that’s adjusted on the mounts. They added 4 new ones so that could indicate the missing genders and I’ve heard talk that the other 2 could be a new race and when I talked about having children I forgot this was in the mount category so I’m pretty sure these would be race models and not npcs. It’s hard to believe 4 new races will be coming in 6.0 or the end of ShB. The only way I could see this happening is if they got more money and more staff to work on it. It just seems unlikely and idk if it’s confirmed this is real or these “leaks” are just fake? Would be interesting but this is a lot of work.

Like Theodric said, it's probably just future proofing. I highly doubt we would be getting multiple races in 6.0 or at the end of ShB.

While I agree.....at the same time fitting more Gear to the Models is just an inevitability. The game is practically already finished, minus the Post Game Content we will get later. So its something they'll have to deal with as they go, there is no avoiding it. So they should just focus on the full plate that they have in front of them right now, and worry about other stuff later.

it certainly dosen't. I think that it's likely we will get something like allied races + missing genders next expansion. I will keep up my support until we get an exact date for male viera

Actually....if they are Planning on this, THIS would be the Perfect way they could Include Male Viera... a New Clan.
Its still against Viera Lore, but writing in a new clan that perhaps split off from the Forrest and Recently Ventured outside and settled in Eorzea would be Neat.

Other Races....any thoughts? I can't think of anything other then Dwarfs for the Lalafell

For the ppl who apparently don't want male viera because that's their vision of the lore, they can simply make a viis clan and have the clan be male only, and instead of genders you choose something thats like a clan (clear skin/dark skin)

Yoshida's one sneaky guy, I know how he is. I'm going to predict right here and right now that we'll have male Viera by this time next year. I don't think it's something they want to show off for 6.0. The Viera/Hrothgar race are features of Shadowbringers, it feels kinda redundant/weird to re-announce the race again in 6.0. They'll most likely just hire a handful of highly skilled 3D artists, maybe from other Japanese companies like Nintendo, Capcom, or even Namco to work on the missing genders.

Notice how he says what's holding them back is finding a solution and not really "we need more time to remodel the gear on male VIera/female Hrothgar." A solution sounds more like needing the green-light from the shareholders to approve hiring contractors for this 1 year (or 2 year project). If let's say 3 or 4 3D artists spend that whole year remodeling gear to the specifications of the 2 missing genders that could easily be done in 1 year. The reason it took them 2 years with female Viera/male Hrothgar is because their Full time 3D artists had to work on everything from new npc gear, current expansion gear, and future expansion gear.

But see where I'm going here, if a contractor's full time job is just remodling gear for 1 year...that's very doable. It's the perfect solution because it doesn't take away from the game's resources, it also allows them to release the 2 new races within Shadowbringer's lifetime, giving the game a shot in the arm at the 1 year mark which is usually when sub numbers go down. We're all grown ups here, we know this is just theory and guesses but the possibility is there if you followed through the reading. In my eyes I see 6.0 being free to work on its own, that's just how I see it. Yoshida could've easily just said "we'd need more time to bring the missing genders if they were to be added." But instead of that he said "we need to find a solution." A solution just implies something deeper and more immediate, to me anyways.

Any thoughts/ideas on what the solution is would be welcomed.
