Bless your heart...after completing my SMN weapon I realized Eureka done did me wrong!
Don't believe it's lies! It's just using you for a good time!...you deserve so much better!
*Went from eureka 1 to 60 doing nms while getting his first weapon done, and only took 8 days, looks at what he quoted, stares with blank face at 4th wall*The main problem for me is that once you got your challenge log done, there's absolutely no means of progressing with the levels in a reasonable way. Killing monsters for xp or NM for xp is not efficient at all.
Also I think losing levels with deaths is a bit too much. I think a good medium would be to yes, lose experience, but not to the point of actually crossing backwards to the previous level. Just losing xp without it would already be a big punishment to let you be more careful with what you do.
Other than that, the worst flaws of Pagos they actually acknowledged and fixed on the following instances.
they need to add it to the over world, no more one shot mods. zelda open world content aka actual exploring, puzzle hidden caves, and not just kill and kill and kill until you are begging for a revive. then eureka will be what it was meant to be.I've been playing this game since 1.0 alpha, but one thing that grows tiresome about 2.0 in particular is that with most content being instanced dungeon based where you have to rushrushrush as if you're a speed runner and go through the usual tunnel of 20-30 minutes nonstop gameplay... ugh I've done this so many times over the years but Eureka is different.
It's much more relaxing and I feel like I don't have to play at an aggressive pace or anything, and I also have time to take a minute break when I need to without hindering others cause the goal isn't linear for everyone as everyone has their own progression.
The instant queues for all jobs is another thing I really enjoy too.
TBH I can get why people might dislike it, but for me? It's the most refreshing content I've seen since Deep Dungeon and I love it.
I'm glad somebody enjoys it. I just... wanna know what I'm missing about this place. I spent about an hour in there, when it first came out, and found it to be utterly uninteresting and, after half an hour of shouting for a group and getting no response whatsoever, frustrating (disclaimer, I was not spamming). How much time do I have to spend in there before something remotely engaging happens? How much time am I supposed to give it before I have a reason to want to continue?
Because everything I've seen and heard just screams "boring mindless grind that gets kinda better after hours and hours and hours of boring mindless grind" and ??? Is there more?? Is that wrong? Is it more than "fate train and kill mobs forever"? Honest question.
If I didn't want the glowy gear and the Ozma mount, I wouldn't even be considering stepping foot inside again. It just seems that unappealing.
I got all the way to the end, and then the stat grind kicked in on the weapon and I just couldn't do it anymore. The weapons will be outdated in 3 weeks anyway and that last Eureka zone is somehow the most mind numbing. I got through them all and was determined to finish at least 1 weapon. I did multiple in arr and hw but I got to that last zone, had 0 luck on the stat rng and my will to finish a weapon deflated into nothing, fast. I never even hit max level and the mere thought of going back in and even leveling makes me nope right into a different game.
For what it's worth, completing a current relic weapon from scratch in 8 days is insanely fast compared to 2.0 and 3.0 relics, even if he was pulling 14 hour days.

I tried it, but:
1. I could not figure out the rotary thing with the different symbols, or how to set it.
2. I couldn't get more than 50 yards into the field without dying instantly and ending up back in RR.
Haven't been back there since then.
This must be where the huge eureka hatred disconnect is. Eureka IS NOT casual content, plain and simple. It's end game, relic gear content. Intended to be a grind. If you are casual, and take is casually, of course it's going to take a long time.
What?...
Overall I enjoyed Eureka. BA was a blast, world feels alive and dangerous (something they should figure for the open world) and instances are always full of players even after the split, made tons of gil and cool glamour and mounts.
