Even if you can't buy everything off the MB, snagging an ilvl380 weapon off of there would help a lot, as weapons tend to be the hardest gear to upgrade. Not sure what they're running for on Cerberus currently, but I usually see them going for 50k or less, which should still leave you plenty of gil left over (and running roulettes will help build that back up relatively quickly). Just make sure it's High Quality - look for a glow to the weapon's appearance and a little HQ marker next to its name.

To find gear on the marketboard, you just click the button for your weapon type or gear piece on the left side of the menu, and it will give you a list of everything you can buy for your currently equipped class.

I agree with the others - buy your i380 crafted weapon from the marketboard, since that's the slowest piece of equipment to upgrade through other means. (Endgame dungeons normally drop armour, but no weapons.)

Spending tomes will be your quickest way to start getting "strong enough" gear, and roulettes are your best route for earning tomes. Now that you're at Lv70, the daily roulettes that previously gave you EXP bonuses now have tomes instead.

Mendacity tomes will buy you i360 gear, so just that will be enough to get you through to the end of the game - and you should be able to get some stronger Genesis items and dungeon drops along the way.

Don't feel like you have to stop following the MSQ until you've geared up, though - once you're past the Stormblood credits, the next dungeon only requires (from memory) i310, and it increases gradually.

Make sure you unlock all the side dungeons so you can run the Lv70 roulette for more tomes:
    - Temple of the Fist (Rhalgr's Reach)
    - Fractal Continuum Hard (RR)
    - Kugane Castle (Kugane, outside the Ruby Bazaar office)
    - Hells' Lid and the Swallow's Compass (part of the Four Lords questline, which branches off the post-Stormblood MSQ)

Also St Mocianne's Arboretum Hard, which I think was also unlocked from Rhalgr's Reach and is required for "expert" roulette along with some MSQ dungeons.

You can also do the Ivalice raid quests as an alternate way to get gear (the first quest 'Dramatis Personae' is in the marketplace at Kugane), or the Omega raids (from RR) which are more like trials.

What you read was correct, the final group instance for the expansion has a listed requirement of ilvl 360. With that said, its possible to bypass that restriction. In order to que via the duty finder and get matched with random people you need that level gear. But if you bring a full party then those requirements are waived(it also waives the role requirements - if your group wants to try to clear the dungeon with a non-standard composition feel free). So if you cant quite get your gear there in time and your friends dont mind carrying you a little then you can still get that last instance done before early access. But youre going to need that gear for the expansion anyway, so keep working at it.

Haha, I was a bit blind on how to use MB. But unfortunately, all i380 crafted items are pretty expensive for me (400-500k) and the book (weapon) for summoner is around 550k...

And yes daily roulette is indeed good for getting tome. I "faming" the PvP one because no matter what, you still gain 20 Genesis and 50 Mendacity after each games.

Actuallya and for MSQs, I thought each quests on had an iLvL requirement. Now, I'm starting 4.3 questline and still requirement so far (except for dungeon, like Iscah said).

Yeah, the quests don't have iLvL requirements - although I actually think it'd be better for story pacing if they did.

If you're in 4.3 you'll want to be... i335, I think? (need to check that) before you get on the boat to the castrum, because that eventually leads to a battle instance with a dramatic lead-up that's a bit disappointing to get rejected from if your gear isn't high enough! A level check before that point would be ideal.

(Apparently post-Heavensward had a similar issue where you could get blocked from proceeding to the Final Steps of Faith battle.)

If you can't get your crafted grimoire, the Lost Allagan i330 weapons are the highest "easy to purchase" ones you can get. Everything else requires running trials or raids to earn tokens, or the time sink known as Eureka.

Alliance Raid Roulette = 100 Mendacity and 50 Genesis. Do this daily. Add in the other suggestions and you should have no problem.

And yes, I prefer to gear-up a bit and avoid of beeing a pain for other players in dungeons.

Speaking of that, I will have enough Mendacity tomes to buy 3 items. And one item (except torso and leg) with Genesis tomes. What I should get first ?

I don't think I have access to Raid Roulette yet and beside I never did any Raid so far in FF14.

Always upgrade your lowest ilvl items first. If all are equal it goes chest > legs > hat, hand, foot > belt and jewelry - in terms of stats allocation.

Google "Crystal Tower FFXIV" and find the quest that starts it in Mor Dhona.

It unlocks the lvl 50 24 man raids which are fairly faceroll at this point. They are the equivalent of Wow's LFR in difficulty. Some things still kill you because you are synced down but they are being run A LOT right now because there is an event (so quick queues) and the story of Crystal Tower may play into Shadowbringers somehow.

The first quest is "Legacy of Allag" from the 'Outlandish Man' standing near the aetheryte plaza in Revenant's Toll.

Keep in mind that it's set in post-ARR, so you'll get characters like Cid who are still at that point in the plot and not the "current version" of themselves that you've interacted with since.
