if you want commendations, do dungeons as a healer or tank. if you are doing that already and not getting any, you aren't playing well.

If you are playing as a dps you have a less chance of getting a commendation.

Though honestly if you are playing DPS, its rare you get one.

I've got 2300 commendations so far as a DPS. Bard and BLM. OP is definitely doing something wrong.

i'll try keeping this to a minimum! the commendation system is exactly what i said a joke.im so sick and tired of giving people one because they i felt deserved it yet i get none its total "BULL" the whole commendation system needs a major overhaul because currently it's a one way street if i give one i should receive 1 .you can disagree all you like but fact are facts and before telling me any reason defending it dont bother i been on ffxiv for almost 4 years and guess how many commendations i received vs what i gave i just got 107 so sad ill never get the higher rewards with a crooked system like this when i give i should receive period its a unfair system and it "MUST STOP" and "MUST CHANGE"

AATN:FFXIV DEVELOPMENT PLEASE REVAMP THE HIDEOUS COMMENDATION SYSTEM ITS A UNFAIR SYSTEM THAT ONLY THOSE WHO HAD NO ISSUES LIKE OTHERS WOULD DEFEND ULTIMATELY KEEPING A CROOKED UNFAIR SYSTEM IN PLACE.REVAMPING THIS SHOULD BE ON YOUR AGENDA ASAP

Well, there are a lot of ways to have a low number of comms after 4 years. Play lots of alts and your coms get divided up. Spend alot of time doing things that don't have coms, is another good one. I'm easily distracted and don't enjoy running the same dungeon over and over again, so it's normal with my play style to not have a ton of chances to get them, but I feel no urge to yell about it. Lol! The people with thousands of coms just look like bragging at this point though.

I'm glad that not everybody feels this way. If they all did, I just wouldn't commend anybody.

Yeah I have more than 700 comms mainly playing dps over 4 years on/off casual play (with several multi-month breaks), and that's just on one of my two characters. So idk what OP is doing or what they expect SE to do to "fix" commendations.
