By that logic I guess people also don't want a new healer anymore considering that front has been less vocal as well.If you're talking about this thread, it's been kept alive by about two-three people constantly bumping it up to the top when it gets low on the front page for about... ooh, 100 pages now.
Edit
The truth is, minus the handful of die hards, no one really cares about this particular problem any more. You don't see it brought up much on Twitter, never brought up on the Reddit any more, even Tumblr doesn't care so much besides making male viera art from time to time. This is a concern that lost its fire for the most part, especially now that we're closer to an expansion full of brand new actual content.
I'd like to see them added though for me it isn't an urgent problem that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't then I will still continue to play the game unless the ball is dropped elsewhere to a drastic degree. Personally I'm much more keen to see the customisation options for the existing playable races be expanded. I'd also like to see player housing made available to everybody as other rival MMO's manage to do just that yet FFXIV seems to struggle for some reason.

Try not being dramatic. I didn't say "no one wants male viera any more". And currently, most healers are concerned about their current classes as it is. With the exception of white mage at the moment. Would they like new healers? Yes. Are they upset there's no new healer? Also yes. Did they realize bawling, screaming, stomping, demanding wasn't going to have any impact for right now? Yes.
I didn't say people didn't want male viera. I said the fire for it has died down. Just like the fire did for new healers.

In my opinion it's never okay to ask them to sacrifice other content to add the other genders. That's taking something away from everyone and I'm not signed up for that. I want them to get to it in time, and not to sacrifice others fun for it because when you start to tell the majority that they have to lose content for something like this, you'll get nothing but backlash and hate. I hope they add the other genders, but not at the cost of other's fun. Can't recall if I added my voice to this, but while I feel the backlash was a bit much, I do still agree that SE should have focused on bringing male and female designs for viera and hrothgar to the table. I'm excited for what they've accomplished with Shadowbringers, but this is an evolving MMO and there's definitely time to do this! Even if they have to pull back on certain other contents to do it! Make it happen SE!
I mean...the female Roegadyn/male Miqo'te request thread didn't get over 1000 likes or anywhere near it back in the day either, much less heavy twitter/reddit exposure. So they don't make decisions by how much you can have it up on reddit/twitter or whatever. They make decisions when they know it is a problem and a lot of people want it to change. Over 1000 likes from subbed accounts is a great sample size in my opinion. Enough to be addressed by the game's producer; getting a producer to respond to a request directly is no easy feat, to the point where gaming websites kept asking him about it for months. If you're talking about this thread, it's been kept alive by about two-three people constantly bumping it up to the top when it gets low on the front page for about... ooh, 100 pages now.

While it might not be a hot topic currently it doesn't diminish the demand nor the importance of it.
They took away a dungeon to make Eureka, we're still here and happy. Reducing the amount of new gear in some dungeons wouldn't kill the game. Seriously. Lets stunt the entire game so some people can have male and female versions of a cosmetic virtual barbie doll. It's these selfish thoughts that make people turn their nose up at those who want the additional genders. FFXIV needs a lot of attention in a lot of areas and I'm not willing to sacrifice chances of those being better so someone can put their boy rabbit in subligar and stand in Ul'dah. In my opinion it's never okay to ask them to sacrifice other content to add the other genders. Oh he responded to it alright. He responded to it by saying not at the moment and responded to it saying, stop pedos, you're not getting children characters to play with.
That's not the kind of response a producer should have to say. So I wouldn't call it an accomplishment.
Not wasting an extra post for this. But I like how you have no argument for my healer comment, that you brought up, so this is what you come up with to respond to me. Gg.
Oh, you thought I was talking to Arn this way. No, Arn should know by know that I agree fully with him and my response was, more of less, dramatics in how other people behave. Nothing I said to him was in combat to him. I guess I need to put /s in my posts for some users who may need it for the extra understanding.

You accuse me of being dramatic and this is how you're replying. Especially to someone that even straight up said they don't want devs taking away from other areas.Seriously. Hypocrisy at it's finest sampling.
Because you put them on the same level, nothing to reply to. Putting them at the same level as you did simply means that talks of it for now have died down, they'll be back later, just like the healer requests. So yes; indeed, Gg.

You are so wrong. Barely anyone is being selfish. You do realize people are getting harassed and being put down from the mention of male viera because they just don’t care? People are just being called gay for wanting male viera and accused of erping or wanting them for sexual reasons. Not everyone is like that, very few actually. Majority don’t mind waiting. It is still possible to get them before 6.0 but it’s pushing it.Seriously. Lets stunt the entire game so some people can have male and female versions of a cosmetic virtual barbie doll. Oh, boy, do I love these extremes: "You can't have X content because I want y content! You only want glamour to ERP!" None of it is guaranteed, there won't suddenly be an extra raid tier by sacrificing the missing genders. At most, there'd be a few less glamour models around. It's a money issue: so either they convince SE to grant them a bigger budget or cut corners in areas with lesser demand. I believe we can agree the first option is the best. (also, enough with the assuming anyone only wants it for undressing, it got old 200 pages ago, not to mention we had this exact discussion 200 pages ago)Seriously. That's...barely even related? The demand for younger looking characters was only tangentially related to mViera/fHroth. And besides, there's very little stomping, whining, or anything right now except encouraging support; what? If people aren't clamoring for something 24/7 suddenly there's no support for it? There's more stuff on which to focus on now, with the embargo lifted last week and release date getting closer, that doesn't mean people have stopped supporting it, it's just gone quieter. And I'm also willing to bet "So, about bun bros/lion ladies" is gonna be a common question at every Q&A until they're added, even if the answer is the same (see: housing). Equating children characters with the missing genders is creating a strawman to shoot down an unrelated point, please stop.Oh he responded to it alright.
