Battle Regimens. Almost positive that's what the CGI trailer was referencing and not any Enfire—which I honestly don't remember being a thing for players in 1.X for all my time there.

The basic gist of Battle Regimens, if memory serves, was you stopped all action (since you know you had to hit a button and consume stamina for every action including what would be considered an "auto-attack" nowadays!) and entered a sub menu to queue up an action. When every party member finished queuing the action they wanted, in the order they wanted, it unleashed a devastating attack that often times had other potent enfeebling effects.

I think WHM and BLM had access to En- spells at some point, but I'm not positive.

Having played both Conjurer and Thaumaturge and later WHM & BLM when they were introduced in 1.20, I am almost certain this is not the case. My memory is obviously fallible, but I also can't find any evidence of it on the internet (albeit, it's difficult to find good sources for 1.0-1.19).

Thaumaturge primarily dealt Umbral and Astral damage, with a weird set of buffs (including a sort of "reflect" in Sytgian Spikes, a heal+regen combo with Sacrifice [which also might've been the lowest level heal too!]) and cast in a conal AoE. They also got a few enfeebling effects and absorption spells, as well a few interesting abilities that copied enfeeblements on them to their target or copied their target's elemental resistances, etc. The latter one in particular, iirc, was how Thaumaturge was able to solo many of the NMs when they were added—Dodore in particular comes to mind. In 1.20, all of this changed as it became closer to ARR's interpretation of THM/BLM; the biggest change in ARR was Fire being the "strongest" spell in 2.0 and not Thunder.

Conjurer could cast any of the six elements, and cast in a circular AoE. They primarily had much of the WHM kit we know from ARR onward; Cleric Stance, Stoneskin, Protect, Shell, specific status removal spells (Paralyna, Blindna, etc.). They also got the elemental DoT series of spells as well as Ancient Magic with names taken from FFXI. They had higher tier of Raise spells, that I honestly don't remember what they did and had other utility such as rendering a target neutral to all elements, pulling corpses toward you, or casting spells with no cast time for a short period (and casting while moving!). Of course, in 1.20 when WHM was added, this was slimmed down into the kit we know today—Stone, Aero, Cleric Stance, Protect, Repose, Shroud of Saints (now named Lucid Dreaming for us). Oh, and cure spells, of course. Conjurer was the one who got the "Cure" line of spells.

Man I miss Sacred Prism's ability to turn any spell into an AoE....
