I really like all the Amaal'ja (or whatever they'll be called on the First) around here. I hadn't even considered if the Lalas/Dwarves being considered a beast tribe would go the other way and we might have some Eorzean bast tribes be counted among the spoken races on Norvrandt. I wonder what else we'll see.

I was surprised to see Amalj'aa present on the First, as well as their being apparently the general Chocobo/Amaro porters and stablehands. I wonder how they differ on the First, such as whether they have the same distaste for water as on the Source.

Something else I was wondering about was something Ethys didn't cover in that video, though. I noticed it when the maps of the First zones were being shared on Discords and Reddit, but given the existence of Amalj'aa, I suppose this might have much the same possibility:

I'll need to rewatch the video I somehow completely missed the Amalj'aa there. Though I'm not too surprised given all the player races and moogles are represented.

Yeah, given stuff like Opera Omnia, Brave Exvius, Kingdom Hearts, and more recently Monster Hunter World, interdimensional Moogles should probably not be as surprising to me as it was.

Okay we see an Amalj'aa from the first pretty early on (its what I get for using it as background learning while doing other stuff for not seeing this sooner) and is that fur part of the Amalj'aa itself or is it armor? Cause thats still a rather large departure from out current versions of them that have them all mostly looks the same outside of some simple color changes. Actually has me pretty excited for the beast tribes to finally start having some good differences within each tribe.

All the races had different naming conventions from what I saw.

Some examples were Philline and Yalana for female Raen Au Ra and Mei-Tatch and Qeshi-Rae for female Seekers of the Sun.

I wonder if we will get to use some of the WoD's special abilities from the trailer? Like the one where their Conjurer enchanted the Ranger's arrow with fire energy (1.0 CNJ used to have access to all 6 elemental magicks, including En-spells, like Enfire).

I also wonder if Vrtra/Azdaja fled from, or were captured and brought to The First, by Allagans. Given there are Dragons on the First and Midgardsrmr, the father of all Dragons came to the Source after the 13 shards split.

As Ethys speculated in his Il Mheg Tour, those 'dragons' seem more like 'winged Lizards' evolved from scalekin rather than the sentient species that exist on the Source. An example of convergent evolution perchance.
