I understand where they're coming from honestly. Well, it's unfair to say they're highjacking because it's just their opinion - but it gets to a point in where it's brushing dangerously close to being so far from the devs vision and the lore that it can be considered a highjack. Like, there's no other word for it I suppose?

Yoshida wants elegant and handsome, Viera males. Handsome has long since been attributed to masculinity. You don't call a feminine guy handsome; you call him cute or pretty. You don't call a beautiful woman, handsome. If the developer wants them to be handsome, then they will be just that, handsome in terms of masculinity.

But even then why not just let someone post their opinion and simply ignore it instead of putting them down? Of course there will be wishes that are nearly impossible to get but does it really hurt if someone posts about this? Often the discussion only really gets heated because people react way too negative onto such a post which in turn might make the person in question feel like they have to explain themselves. Seeing how fast this thread grows at a time will ensure that single posts are going to be swallowed up by the amount of posts afterwards so I just dont understand why some feel the need to put down other opinions with such words. (Or using fetish and stuff like that)

In the end we all have no clue what Yoshida sees as handsome. He is from japan, a land that produced J-Pop where some of the bands really look more like females at times than males. A land where a huge amount of the population is small and slender, heck even Yoshida himself would probably not fall under the more western view of a manly man. We also dont know if he alone decides on that or if others have words in it too. And would it really hurt that much to have one more less manly face option? (I mean Elezen also have that "baby" face one too)

In the end I just see no reason to mock people for their view. And lore is never much of a good reason, especially since we dont even have a description for them. Slender and fierce is not something that cant happen and otherwise we have no idea on how they look, only that after puberty hits they are different from the females. This does hint that they dont look female (but most or if not all dont want to look like a female) but that also does not mean that one face could not be much softer than the rest because nobody is ever born the exact same way and a face option at least would still keep the overall look of a race.

I think people tend to confuse a discussion with put down. You state your opinion on the internet and some folks will simply discuss it. It's more likely that people take offence to them doing that. The issue with text is that you can't hear the tone, so most people assume that when someone is responding to their post that they're being overly hostile.

I never said they shouldn't have one 'face' that looks like that. In fact, they should, because it does indeed make sense for there to be one face that doesn't fit the 'hard life' - that isn't just some headcanon spin-off. The whole race, however - in my opinion - shouldn't look like this.

The issue I have with this viewpoint is that Yoshida had an issue with the armour concept art, he stated they were 'too cute'. Now I'm sure most people here can agree that the males there look rather masculine and powerful. Strong jawlines, well-developed muscle development, etc. If Yoshida thought they looked too 'cute' there, then I imagine he thinks Kpop look-alikes are 'too cute' - especially if we were using said aesthetics for the tribal clansman than are Male Viera. That was years ago however, perhaps his imagery has changed. Hopefully, we will see.

Hmm well I'm assuming we'll be getting the chest fur. Maybe they will have facial hair options as well. If they have chest hair, I can't imagine they won't have facial hair options. I agree I'd like to see some options for scars and stuff. Also, in my opinion, the body shape of omega m and minafumi's artwork isn't all that different, and if there is a muscle tone slider, you could make it as toned as minafumi's art, or maybe less so like with omega m.

It may be the same, honestly, I can't tell much and I've spent quite a lot of time in savage looking at him. Haha. His armour does a lot for him.

If Yoshida thought they looked too 'cute' there

I was thinking about this for a little while. Yoshida said male viera would look weird. I think around this time, they were considering the addition of a beast race. Maybe he was talking about a beast rabbit character, and that's why he thought it was a bit weird. In this context, I agree that a beastly rabbit would look weird, and hrothgar as they are now fill in the beast niche better.

0 Should be feminine, male Viera is the missing male gender, not the missing female gender.
How would I sound if I asked for a masculine female Viera face when we were asking them to add (female) Viera?

I support male Viera.

Then 0 faces on any male gender should be feminine but they aren't, you really need to just stop being so aggressive against people who want a more feminine face, i am not asking to completely change the race for it, 1 face out of 4 is not asking for too much in the grand scheme of things with regards to the race if the other 3 were 'manly' man faces i would not care give you guys/girls more options, i'm just asking for a single option for something i may prefer, yet the constant put down by you and others is sickening you are not just disagreeing you are being as harsh as you can to an opinion that is harmless there is nothing wrong with asking. the devs do not have to listen to me or you so just leave it as a "I would like male Viera this way" rather than this constant back to the wall argument which is highly counterproductive to the thread and just gives fuel to anti male Viera supporters.

Lastly you can make an androgynous looking female Viera face so i am asking for an androgynous looking male Viera face and no they aren't the same

I would really like all the faces to have different styles, since I'll most likely have more than 1 male viera and I like each of them being very different
