I think that they might give an official (actual) response before 6.0, specially they'd likely confirm no missing genders on 6.0 a while before, based on how they said they'll manage player expectations better. My bet is that on 5.0 interviews this will get bringed up a lot, and at 5.0-5.1 they might give a response
I doubt they'd say anything until the fanfests of 6.0 or later if they were actually making them. They would likely announce them at a fanfest to draw in hype and excitement.
