Most of us who are asking for a "buff" build have Au Ra or Highlander in mind, not so much Roe or Hrothgar. It's one of those builds that veers into the "too much bulk" territory for me.

Yeah, that's why I was leaning more toward team feminine at first, because I was worried about that. But now that I know most of team masculine wants something closer to Highlander/Au Ra, I find myself leaning more towards preferring masculine Viera. I admit, I have been swayed. lol

lol, yes, I edited my last post about it, but the other face was just a little to squished for me. The eyes, nose, and mouth all looked squished right in the center of the face and it was starting to unnerve me a bit.

I admit, my mind jumped to that conclusion a little too quickly. But I think my reasoning at the time was because Roe just have so much muscle on them that my mind immediately jumped to them. But no, you aren't a scapegoat lol.

I will say, my only response to hrothgar, was simply when people would use STATISTICAL DATA to say that they would have been STATISTICALLY more popular than male viera or were inherently more requested than Viera, which again is not a factual statement based on both racial statistics and the requested race poll hosted by square enix.

Looking at things as they are I really don't think that "the data" supports this topic at all but I digress.

Yeah, I mostly come here to read the drama lulz and I've read many post that give me the straight up "YIKES" like the shota stuff (which is also one of the few things I remember popping up on the JPN thread about these gender/ race combos and them being talked down by other, reasonable fans). When we got Hrothgar I wasn't impressed ... it gave me an eyebrow raise cause I had convinced myself that they had been working on new races for the past 4 years and that we would get both genders for the Viera AND this "Ronso like" race that Blufever leaked. Their reveal trailer, either to hide the incomplete state of the race at the time or to make them look dark and brutal, had terrabad lighting and crap filters going on. But it didn't matter to me personally as I was just too over joyed to have Viera.

In this and many other threads on the OF people got down right nasty over this and even to this day there's still some people who hate on them in favor of Male Viera on any new Instagram post from FF14's account regardless of the topic.

Pages of this thread gets deleted when things start to get wild and people talk in circles so much that by the time I return the last thing I saw or posted is normally so far back it's not worth hunting down ... so it's easy for people to try to rewrite history.

From my perspective, the big, buff team are the ones being really aggressive in this thread. Yes, including you.

Gonna have to agree considering we've already had a poster literally telling people to stop posting their preference for something more androgynous. It's fine if you want something more buff, but don't tell other people to stop wanting something slimmer or androgynous. Both sides are welcome to post their preferences here, just don't to tell others to stop posting what they prefer.

I'm unsure if you're trying to lump me into this or not, but if you are I'd like to point out that I never once said people can't ask for whatever they, I just don't agree with those requests and wish for a more masculine appearance. If not, disregard. Either way, have a good day!

Ah good stuff. To the topic you presented, I'd say I'd even be okay with that. What I'd like to avoid is making them purely hyper feminine, is all. I understand that I have Hrothgar for my super manly and beastly race, but I wouldn't mind having a good masculine look for Viera as well. I've seen the omega viera art going around and I'd still say that's masculine, but more elegant, which I'm all for as well.
