most can get in day is 8 with how long queue times is. Even if queue as healer there 15 to 35 minutes. They really need to double what you get in tomes.

Most of the stuff from this event could be gotten faster by just farming it the normal way. Really disappointing.

This is my favorite post in this thread. Have a like from me. I got most of the stuff here, and I'll take my time for the Beast Tribe mounts because I still need to level up some roles for my Mikeru character. There are very few items you really need to get from this event...
3 of the cards we didn't have so we just went and got them vs spend points on them.
It took about 20 mins after we did our DR Alliance and MSQ
Take the Odin set of gear. I have none of it. But I found I have 26 items needed to get it and the full set costs 15.
We made a google sheets doc to track what we need and what we got.
We only need about 200 in total.
Also, Don't worry about people who already got the earing.
They like the grind.
The only items are really hard to get.
The earring.
The one mount diadem
The one minion diadem
You want the riding maps. There are other ways.
You want the cards there are other ways.
You want the beast tribe mounts there are other ways.
Diadem is dead mount and minions are near imposable to get that way.
Earring exclusive to this event.
Also, this is likely to go over well in the end. And inturn most of these items will return at the end of 5 just before 6.
But the Diadem stuff are items that I can't pass up, yet doing Diadem and coordinating those events can be a drag, so I'll be pursuing those in this limited-time event. A few MGP VIP cards wouldn't hurt either.
Most of my Castrum runs take 25-30 minutes. Some runs are ironically faster than some Expert Roulette runs I've put up with (the ones that take over half an hour because one doesn't even know his/her role).Fully agree on the fact that it's not engaging but Castrum is actually worth. It takes about 30-35 min for 3 tomestones, which is better than doing the other ARR dungeons that takes more than 12-18 min for only 1 tomestone. When multiplying the latter by 3 (to get the same amount of tomes as for one Castrum run) it takes more time overall and they are more boring because you have less skills.

Just spam squadren stone vigil. Sure it's only 1 but if you go dps you can face pull the whole thing and let the squad kill it all. And best part. No que

Not that i necessarily disagree with the OP, (because i'm seriously a lazy peon) but i know if those Tomes were increased; people would only blow through it faster.
It's probably best that the rates are what they are right now. But who knows what might happen.
Journey to all fish: 1383/1729 (348 remaining) [79%]

Not a single Syrcus or Labyrinth run has taken more than 20 minutes for me. The queues are a couple of minutes now that everyone is running the raids. That's 6 tomes per hour. That's enough if you just aim to get a few items which is probably what the devs intended.

MSQ
Viper
Same. It really goes smoothly, especially Syrcus since you can basically ignore all the mechanics except for one.

I wouldn't mind running Syrcus tower a couple of less times I suppose
