Well let's say the split is like 33/33/34, with 34 being DPS. It's still technically bigger, lol. But it's a collective issue not solely one one thing, since each healers kits vary on what is considered "bad".

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

I'd argue the biggest issue is they "balanced" DPS, but then enormously imbalanced healing, and overall made the classes look less engaging.

I see the breakdown like this:

    WHM: DPS--more boring
    Heals--the same, slightly less bad

AST: DPS--slightly more boring (no LoC); I personally think cards look fine, but most ASTs I know say it looks boring, so I'll defer to them
    Heals--worse

    SCH: DPS--way, way more boring
    Heals--way, way better

I just think if you're going to tell us you are taking the time to "focus on balancing the existing healers," it would be a good time to focus on balancing the existing healers. It feels like they tried to homogenize DPS, then got bored and moved on to something more interesting to them.

While this definitely is accurate, I think it misses some other big points that are issues in balance:

    WHM
    Mobility & Clipping
Giving us instant cast heals isn't really a solution. Unlike an r2 equivalent that you can whenever needed, heals aren't flexible to the point of being able to go out whenever you want them to. We'll have a bit more of an option with the afflatus skills in ShB, but it's really really not a solution.

    oGCD Heals
Not really solved, we got like a half solution in the form of a re-branded and still GCD cure2 and medica, which, we didn't really need. They're resource free, and you get a 225p damage potency rebate on them if you get the misery cast off (so these are null towards the end of a fight!), but we didn't really get a full fix here.

    Raid Utility
I feel like I've been asking for this for four years. You can never balance healers when two bring rDPS and one doesn't. And you cannot balance one healer's pDPS to compensate for rDPS. It's not like a DPS class where they have consistent rotations. Healing per fight is too variable to have a consistent pDPS measure, and having one healer with high pDPS nurtures toxicity where their co-healer always feels burdened to use their resources first. Meaning, using an aetherflow stack on indom instead of energy drain, because that's more rDPS than a WHM using Cure III. The logic is correct, but compared to healing with an AST where they don't have to use the same resources for the same reasons, they end up feeling bitter.

    AST
    Mobility & Clipping
Gimped a little bit in that they'll likely use some lightspeeds for double weaving card draws to get a 6% divination, but otherwise still pretty solid since they can slide cast everything, weave everywhere, and not care.

    oGCD Heals
Gimped a bit by the CU nerf, but star is still star

    Raid Utility
Brought to heel, which I think is better for overall role balance. I'll save the comments on the new mechanisms to get cards and use them for a different post

    SCH
    Mobility & Clipping
Mobility is still essentially the same as r2 still gives them movement options. But the clipping portion is much much worse. They have r2 to weave, but the issue is how much they'll have to use it with fairy skills all rendered as oGCDs and the new oGCDs they have means to use any of their big buttons they need to weave somehow. So, you'll see a lot more r2 uses to get these oGCDs out and that's going to feel gross.

    oGCD Heals
Well these are a little busted aren't they? Hello sacred soil. Who's the crazy one who said scholar couldn't heal by the way? They were already OP before!

    Raid Utility
Still there, chain got nerfed a touch but I don't really feel like that bothers scholars as much as it does other classes.
