Privacy concerns - Lodestone

The only thing i posted on the lodestone are the lyrics to a tune from snow white related to mining. What I address is all the information about our characters that is posted automatically by the system.

I care because I don't come from a police state, in my nation the right to privacy is considered a core value, and I value my privacy. To some sharing everything on facebook and the likes is the most natural thing in the world. To others, like me, it is not. It is a subjective preference, even related to purely ingame matters.
You do not need to know, do you? As such, I should not have to have it on display.

There should be an option to "opt out", beyond not playing the game for those who care, don't you think?

It's understandable why you value your privacy, trust me I do too... which is why I'm saddened that my government (USA) is starting to stray towards internet censorship, and watching everything you do. But as far as FFXIV information... The fact that someone can see your in-game achievements if they choose to do so shouldn't bother you. This is information that is irrelevant to anyone, and quite honestly I don't see what people can do with such information. : /
