Honestly it should be a reward for maintaining greased lightning 4, akin to BLM being rewarded with polyglot for maintaining Enochian. Maybe it would seem a little copy and paste, but at this point GL really should reward players who CAN maintain it.

I'm still waiting for when Monk's job gauge is redesigned to be about opening 14 chakra (Not 5) the 7 light and 7 dark and then going super saiyan like in the job quest. Rather than just having an oGCD skill... That is built up through RNG... Make the way you build up the chakra not RNG. Perhaps make it based around Monks unique combo system where after 3 Rear attacks you get one Light chakra and after 3 Flank attacks you get one Dark chakra or something.
Fists stances should just be scrapped. They're clearly never going to design them to be interesting in any way, shape or form. It seems to be simply swapping between FoW/FoF for which one is statistically better and trying to stick with it all the time... Just remove them all and give Monks a trait for 10% movement speed like Ninja do.
Then make the Riddles be different flavour of CD's. With NONE of them nuking your SkS. Like, make it so that RoE gives you flat damage increase. RoW can give you a chance to multistrike. RoF makes your skills leave a DoT for a percentage of their damage. Make them mutually exclusive, perhaps with different CD's so they line up with different burst timings.
Make Tornado Kick not dumb and put a reasonable gate on its use (Like maybe, it can only be used when you're super saiyan from opening your chakra? Sort of Life of the Dragon style)
Make Brotherhood not comp dependent. Make it so that IDK, it's like a trait that makes your Riddle CD's give allies a buff or something, maybe like a mini-version of the actual buff (Remeniscent of ye olde Shaman in WoW where you had things like Windfury Totem and Flametongue Totem that granted weaker versions of your own weapon buffs to allies)
Then make the gameplay about maintaining GL stacks, via stuff like SsS and Anatman and PUNCHING STUFF REALLY GOD DAMN FAST. (Seriously, why does the Crab boss in Pagos have a skill called "One Hundred Fists" and MONK doesn't? Like WTF?)

Just make it a part of the rotation without eating up the GL please.
and iam sad now after hearing that "meditation" stance is just to "freeze" your GL timer, not renew it. i dont see any point of it, since usually in boss down time there will be aoe or mechanic going on, so you have to move around and that mean your timer just keep ticking.

I'm pretty much with you at 100% after reading your points, I hope SE dev team read this and do something before 5.0 (I guess after then would be too late for big changes).
I don't understand why MNK has so many drawbacks for using the coolest skills (TK, SSS etc...).
I was hoping SSS would be better and GL4 would grants some additional things to do.
Also I still don't understand why good skills will be removed but Fists of Earth and Riddle of Earth will stay.
Watching ShB monk makes you feel frustrated that your favourite job is going to be boring, not even talking dps wise, but fun wise.

Mantra's description got changed from "boosts healing magic by 20%" to "boosts healing actions by 20%". Sounds to me like it will work with oGCD heals (like Indom, Assize, etc.) which is a pretty huge buff for it.
I also really don't see Riddle of Earth being as bad as everyone says it is. You cannot use Anatman while moving, so in those situations, Riddle of Earth is still good to use.
The main problem here is that they gave us ways to maintain stacks, but they removed ways to generate stacks efficiently. Perfect Balance got nerfed, and Wind Tackle is gone.
They could've easily done something like BLM's Polyglot were if you maintain GL4 for a certain amount of time you get to use Tornado Kick for free or something.

If we take a theoretical situation in which you need to move, im going to assume that you are moving OUT of dmg not moving INTO dmg,it makes RoE useless since you are avoiding DMG.
Mantra as a whole is kind of pointless in 5.0, since healers got OP Healing skill set, so if you need an extra 20% healing you are going to die either way and if we just look at the lvl 73 dng we can, to some degree, see that there is not enough dmg going out in order to make Mantra usefull. Maybe in certain savage fights while progresing (i.e 2 to 3 weeks after savage releases in 5.0), maybe. For the rest of the 80 LVls, dngs and probably probably most savage you wont use mantra or RoE.
Here is the breaking point of anatman and RoE, if you can still use Anatman while taking dmg as long as you dont perfom any action, it will mean they replaced One illm with RoE or in other words they repleaced one useless skill with anoter one, because lets face it if an attack or animation is going to be long enough RoE will most likely be useless either way.
So while you dont see RoE being "as bad" it really is as bad.

I'm a bit worried about the GL4 (FoW) and tornado Kick integration.. I think they could have done that a bit differently.. Still i'm happier with Monk than I am with SCH.
