    Gunbreaker issues to fix from Media Tour.

    Hello.

    Gunbreaker has a few issues to fix before Shadowbringers comes out.

    1. Superbolide



    Same CD, lower duration, worse effect.

    2. Camouflage



    Bulwark is gone, 50% parry doesn't make any sense since you'll have to remove this skill for 6.0. Change it, make it a bit more consistent.

    3. Low potency.

    Well, I dont think that potency should be consider like an issue since SE said "Development footage, subject to change" for each piece of content from Media Tour.


    Gunbreaker looks amazing from a "gameplay" perspective,

    Huh. The namesake doesn't quite match up.

    So here's a thought. What if instead it reduced the damage the target does by 100% for 5 seconds. Instead of Gunbreaker being discount Hallowed Ground, Gunbreaker instead nullifies the enemy attack regardless of target?

    Agreed, Gunbreaker's personal mitigation skillset appears underwhelming with what we have been shown. Hopefully this will not be the case on launch or that it get's fixed quickly.

    On the brightside though, their party utility looks to be very strong. I just hope this disparity doesn't see the job pigeonholed into OT.

    It's just an astronomy related term which appears to be a theme for GNB abilities. Basically "Super Comet/Meteor" for the "Super Awesome (... totally not underwhelming /s)" defensive ability.
    Asides from that, there is no correlation to what the ability is and it's name.

    However it does coincidentally sync up well with the lyrics from Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now".

    I'd like to think that is where the name came from for the ability.

    For Camouflage:

    I think it would be better and slightly more thematic if it was changed to:

    Increases parry rate to 100% and also allows you to parry spells.

    Since that would make it more consistent. Since the current and above pictured Camouflage is seemingly trying to create "20% damage reduction" via an "On average" scenario (Where you Parry 50% of attacks. Meaning that 50% of the time you mitigate 20% + 10% damage for 30% DR and 50% of the time you mitigate only 10% damage. Well, ignoring the fact that Parry + 10% DR = 28% DR due to multiplicative stacking making the skill on average only 19% DR...) but there are plenty of times when enemies are using spells that can't be parried. Ironically, often these are the most damaging attacks you face in a group of trash too...

    Just making the skill into a flat 20% damage reduction (But without the ability to RNG parry) through guaranteed parry vs all attacks would make it more useful.

    What if Superbolide recharged a cartridge for every X% hp prevented? Theoretically could temporarily turn you into a whirlwind of attacks.

    Maybe allow it to overcharge your cartridge (the two slots animate out to a six slot revolver like image, as each overcharged is consumed it'll slowly collapse back down into the two slots).

    Worse than Paladin in terms of defense strength better than Paladin for offense?

    Holmgang OP too though (due to low cooldown). Its just Living Dead bro who gets the real feels bad lol.

    If they nerf Hallowed Ground I hope they reconsider all the impervious abilities then (to bring them all into better line or something else, because just nerfing Paladin's will be a feel bad and make Warriors even bigger deal while Dark still feels a bit funny too).

    I feel like Superbolide would be fine if it had a 300s cooldown like Living Dead.

    Camouflage, though, I agree, isn't very strong. I agree with the 100% parry rate and ability to parry spells is a good idea.

    Additionally i’d like to see a tweak to the gcd single target dot, longer duration or maybe tweak the potency or just change it to an ogcd that we can weave between gcds to make it feel a bit better

    Superbolide gives you 8 seconds to use Brutal Shell, which heals you and applies a barrier to you. You can probably use your regen or a potion as well. This is all assuming a healer isn't able to help you. Solving the problem of 1 HP is part of the job's mechanics.

    Camouflage will work decently enough for big pulls when the others aren't available. The high parry rate will help for physical mobs and 10% guaranteed mitigation means 1 in 10 hits effectively misses you, which is helpful when you are taking hundreds of them and need to ease the incoming damage just a little bit.

    Parry working for magic would help. Perhaps that change will be in 5.0, or perhaps they know the 10% mitigation will help make it more useful as a light cooldown for big pulls than Anticipation.
