No but my girlfriend got banned in XI when a Linkshell mate gave her 50k on her first day of playing. They said she was an RMT and closed her account.

She did not get Ban, her account was "Suspended" all she would have had to do was call SE and fill out a form proving she wasn't an RMT.

Happened a few times when we were finally all together to complete the fight. Funny thing though, if that is indeed deemed the exploit, it wasn't used when we actually won.

It really didn't seem necessary to rely on since it took so long in between the fights to gain the key items compared to Ifrit fight. I don't know if it's just me, but it also seems easier to complete after the patch. Perhaps that is due to the conditions of the AoE changing and the Mogs actually dying when they should be dead?

Anyway, if others have often wiped and regrouped during the fight pre patch I don't see anything wrong with this personally. Whether it be cheap or not it doesn't affect me. It just sounds to me like something that was complained about when it was brought to certain linkshell's attention and when they have lost out on their anticipated world first kills. Let's just be honest here. If you could beat it legitimately the first time that is enough validation and anything more than that is your ego taking control of you.

There are people who cry "Ban!" but I personally could care less about people getting banned, I only wanted the fight fixed.

"Gee, let's get half done the fight, let everyone die, and stand around for 4-5 minutes while weakness wears off & MP is fully recovered."

^ That is dumb as shit. That is not fun, interesting, entertaining or even remotely "good" game design. It needed to be fixed, it got fixed. The fight is now fun! Problem solved, the discussion on it being an exploit can end.
