A Genuinely Helpful Flowchart for Whoever is in Charge of Healers

It looks to be about the same. So considering strictly pDPS only, the healers look to be very balanced.

But it's worth noting Afflatus Misery is a DPS loss and will need to be avoided to reach WHM's pDPS potential. Unless SE increases the potency compared to the dev build, anyways.

It's literally only a dps loss in a vacuum with no GCD healing. You wouldn't use it on a SSS/training dummy (well, you would on SSS at the very end) but no... this is something I keep seeing everywhere and it's so silly. In terms of easy content like dungeons it's AoE will also make it worth using.

The catastrophizing needs to stop.

Wasn't that the thought process behind where we are now? Wasn't it calculated that WHM wasn't even the best in pDPS? Do we know for sure if WHM is going to be the best in pDPS in an actual environment?

There's no way to know which healer will have the strongest dps because we don't know how much healing is going to be required in the upcoming raids or how the damage is going to go out. We don't know what dps jobs are going to be most desired so we don't know the impact of cards/chain. We don't even know final potencies for the abilities we do know.

What I do see is a focus on giving SCH and to a lesser extent AST access to more direct healing which will mean they're more able to take some of that off of a WHM partner. With Glare currently being the strongest healer nuke WHM has GCD priority over its cohealer almost universally which means as long as it gets off the required abilities to generate it's blood Lily it likely won't have to do much more in the way of GCD heals unless the damage model is incredibly different. The best thing for the group would be to let the WHM nuke as much as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if WHM consistently outdpsed the other healers when we get our first raid.
