Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I mean lets not lie and say it wasn't hugely a part of this thread that made Yoshi actually come out and stomp his foot down on peoples desire to have a child like Viera. There were certainly, for a while, a loud vocal group who wanted to be weird with Viera and they left such a bad taste in the mouths of so many people that many decided they didn't want male Viera at all because of it.

Now because that was snuffed out, there's a group who are begging for what are basically... well, female models. And if they want them to be so feminine, I don't understand why they don't just make a female character. At least that group is starting to get snuffed out too by others who still want the viera to not be a circus show.

Yeah, that definitely scared off a lot of people who would have otherwise supported their inclusion. I'm hoping that they'll be designed in such a way as to appeal to a broad range of players.

My biggest desire at the moment is to see an expansion of the customisation for the existing playable races, however. I can wait patiently for male viera but people have been waiting a lot longer for things like the highlander male eyebrow situation to be resolved.

Yes, this. I agree so hard with this actually. Older models need updated face and hair textures. We need overall more hairs (and longer ones please, even for males). Let us double up on the makeup options, give us NEW options. Newest one is freckles from... years ago? I would much rather see more updates to what we have right now than worry about male and female versions of missing things.

They added a couple of face paint options during one of the seasonal events but that, too, was years ago. I'm cautiously optimistic since the language used in regards to additional customisation and graphical upgrades has been a lot more positive lately which makes me suspect they have something in the works already.
