Why was Living Dead not removed?

Just make a macro for when you use it that alerts in the text box. You can even make it make a noise...

You'd be surprised how many players have the chatbox hidden, especially on PS4. Also there are a good number of players that don't really have the situational awareness to pick out a single audio cue mixed in among all the other crazy sound effects going off in combat, and some people actually turn off or down the sound from the game because they are listening to music while playing.

Believe me I've done just what you recommend and it has been far less effective than I had hoped.

Oh believe me I went above and beyond with my macros to try to make things super apparent. Giant chat call-outs in chat in all caps framed in asterices, one for using Living Dead and one for when Walking Dead goes active. Both with very distinct sound effects that play and animations. Problem is the sound effects often get drowned out by pew pew explosions constantly going off and the animations pretty consistently get overridden by my combat animations, which leaves chat as the only other means of communication which I have already pointed out as problematic.
Heck, I even have it do a countdown over my head for Walking Dead by marking myself with numbers counting down every second for the last 5 or so seconds. Still hasn't worked in PUGs, the most I've gotten was a "lol what was that" after I dropped dead.

But again the point is that it is ridiculous that people have to make such complicated macros just to communicate an ability because it is unnecessarily convoluted with non-existent messaging.

Also, it's like a constant struggle between the mechanics on the screen, party status bars, enemy status bars, the ridiculous and extremely inconvenient boss HP bar, et cetera that we have to fit onto the screen. It's just such a mess and there is very little customization options or thought put into making sure players eyes aren't drawn to too many things on the screen at once, and it really feels like they only realize that there are actually players using the cross bar after the expansions launch...

Anyway, living dead is total garbage, and Bravely Defaults DRK skill "To Hell with You" is way better, and a tweaked version that takes aspects of both would be way more interesting
