No Ucob/UwU weapons for the new jobs? That's disappointing

I imagine it is because of the low clear rate overall.

Why bother designing new weapons for an old fight that the vast majority of players will never possess?

by this logic then why add ultimate? why add new pvp content? if they have the effort to add 1-60 weapons that people will throw in the trash like they did with sam/rdm, they have enough time to add 2 glowing skins.
also this makes newer players who main gun/dnc reason to go back and seek out harder content.

There's a difference between adding new models for fights that will no longer be relevant, and adding two fights that are relevant for an entire expansion.

I doubt many people would go back to 70 content. Not to mention, there will be new Ultimates in ShB.

I'm not even against them adding them, I was just giving a possible reason why lol

The Ultimates won't allow for unsyncing, and I think there probably are players that will go back for reclears or to clear the one they never had time for (like myself - I cannot find the time to get an UCoB clear before 5.0 drops while also doing UwU reclears and static trials, but I want to go back and get my clear afterwards). The new Ultimates probably won't come until a later patch, so after people finish up with Savage, it would be something for them to do before the next Ultimate comes out or the next tier - whichever is planned to be released first.

Even so, some of us have been saving/planning to obtain tokens to get DNC/GNB weapons.

This doesn't bother me, though I DO hope they add omega weapons/SB primal weapons. Especially from the phoenix boss, I love that set.

It's a fair bit strange to not add those weapons in, considering that these fights will still be synced, especially if DNC/GNB get dreadwyrn weapons added. I don't think the ultimate weapons are that much work as they're retextures of already existing models.

This is quite disappointing to hear. While unlikely that people will be going back to those pieces of content, it's still possible that someone will be progging those fights as GNB or DNC, yet when they clear they have nothing to show for their main job. I know a lot of people who saved their totems hoping to see what the new weapons will look like. I still think it would be smart to hold those totems just in case they are added down the line.

And herein lies the issue. They will likely make brand new weapons for content that can be roflstomped. So why not include the Ultimate weapons when they're essentially reskins? This will be especially crappy if they make Final Coil weapons for GNB and DNC yet don't want to make a shiny gold version of the exact same weapon they already made.

That's disappointing to hear. I'm already concerned if SB ultimates will even be do-able with skills being removed and stripped - I don't really mean DPS so much as possible mitigation losses in the advent of VIT melds being rendered impotent. As it is, I wonder if older fights, like Coil, can even be done at minimum iLvl in Stormblood due to the removal of certain skills or traits that were used.

It did puzzle me why the base primals had weapons for RDM and SAM when I know a lot of people were disappointed that [at least Second] Coil didn't receive weapons. I'd have thought because it's because GNB and DNC would be starting at level 60, but having Garuda, Ifrit and Titan weapons for RDM and SAM readily dismisses that argument. I'd have thought the'd make every weapon for every level 60 content - which would include both ultimates. I guess they are really against making the models - the meshes shouldn't really be that much of an issue, right?

With VIT, I believe they said that they are now putting the stat on accessories (so far, only tank accessories have VIT on them), so I think that was their solution to removing main stat melds. I certainly hope so, anyways - because otherwise it's extremely dicey to live during Bahamut and Ultima Weapon without VIT... fondly recalling the time the SCH in my UwU group forgot Sacred Soil for one of Ultima's mechanics and I lived with 250 HP. ;w;
